This is the 25th year that Vallet scholarships have been awarded in Vietnam, with the number and value of scholarships increasing. To date, more than 55,000 scholarships, worth over VND500 billion, have been awarded to students in Vietnam. In 2025 alone, 2,200 excellent students in provinces and cities across the country will receive Vallet scholarships.

As Thanh Nien reported, the Vallet scholarship was formed from the voluntary contribution of Mr. Odon Vallet, a doctor of science in French law, professor of religious history at Sorbonne University, Republic of France. Although he inherited a large fortune, Professor Odon Vallet did not use it but deposited it all in the bank and entrusted a part to the scientific and educational organization "Meeting Vietnam" to award scholarships to excellent young people in Africa, Vietnam and Vietnamese students in France.
