Presenting 58 Tet gifts from Quang Tri Newspaper and Thien Tam Fund to people of Quang Tri town

This morning, January 11, continuing the program of giving "Tet gifts to the poor" on the occasion of Spring At Ty 2025, the Readers' Office - Social Work, Quang Tri Newspaper presented 58 Tet gifts to households with especially difficult circumstances in Quang Tri town. Head of Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of Quang Tri town Bui Thi Hong Loan; Vice Chairman of Quang Tri town People's Committee Le Phuong Bac attended the program.

The program of giving "Tet gifts for the poor" is an annual activity, jointly implemented by Quang Tri Newspaper and Thien Tam Fund, Vingroup Corporation for many years. Through the program, the organizers hope to bring meaningful gifts to disadvantaged households in the province before "Tet comes, spring comes". Thereby, helping them have more motivation to overcome difficulties and build a better life. This year, in Quang Tri town, Quang Tri Newspaper gave 58 Tet gifts, each worth 600,000 VND.

Moved by the Tet gift from the program, Ms. Vo Thi Lan (born in 1974), living in Quarter 5, Ward 2, Quang Tri town, said: “My family's situation is difficult. My husband and I do not have stable jobs and have three small children to raise. I myself am constantly sick. Today, receiving gifts from the program, I am very happy. I will try harder in the future to have a better life.”

Her husband passed away more than 10 years ago. The lives of Nguyen Thi Suong and her three children (born in 1986), living in Quarter 1, Ward 1, Quang Tri town for many years, have depended entirely on her banh loc stall.

“This gift will make my Tet holiday warmer and more fulfilling. I don’t know what to say other than thank you to Quang Tri Newspaper and Thien Tam Fund for giving gifts to me and other disadvantaged people in the area,” Ms. Suong confided.

On behalf of the local government, Deputy Head of the Department of Labor - Invalids of Quang Tri town, Thai Thi Dieu Quynh, sent thanks to Quang Tri Newspaper and VinGroup Thien Tam Fund for accompanying the locality in recent years. Hopefully, in the coming time, the program will be maintained to help people in difficult circumstances with more meaningful gifts before the New Year.
