The exhibition features 17 oil and acrylic paintings on canvas, marking the decade-long creative journey (2015 – 2025) of artist Nguyen Tat Long. The works are divided into three stages: “The Spiral of Silence” (2015 – 2016) with a black and white palette and strong calligraphy; “Invisible and Visible” (2020 – 2021) with small, unconscious strokes of color evoking a sense of etherealness; and “Door” (2023 – 2025) with a series of large-scale, colorful paintings, created from smears, smears, and throws of color emphasizing randomness.
Painter Nguyen Tat Long shared: “The name “Duong” not only evokes an artistic journey but also an inner journey. Each work is a step on the path to finding oneself. I want viewers not to be influenced by specific images, but to find their own emotions in each streak of color.”

As an artist influenced by the international Abstract Expressionist movement, especially the New York School movement, Nguyen Tat Long firmly believes that art originates from the unconscious and subjective emotions. Experts assess this exhibition as a step to affirm his unique style: faithful to absolute abstraction but still opening up a strong dialogue with the public.
Painter Nguyen Tat Long was born in 1979 in Hanoi . He is a self-taught artist, known for his abstract expressionist style, which eliminates plastic elements to focus on rhythm, brushwork and pure emotion.
