According to information from Tri An Hydropower Company, at 8:00 a.m. on September 29, 2025, the upstream water level of the lake was more than 60.5m and the downstream water level at the hydropower plant was 3.7m. The water flow into the lake on September 28 was nearly 1,500 m3 /s.
It is expected that in the next 1-2 days, the water flow to the lake will be more than 1,500 m3 /s.
To ensure flood prevention capacity, combined with the low water level downstream of the river at Bien Hoa Hydrological Station, Tri An Hydropower Company discharged water through the reservoir's spillway.
At 1:00 p.m. on September 30, the company conducted a spillway with a water flow through the dam of 160m 3 /s, water flow through the turbine from 750-820m 3 /s, total water flow discharged downstream from 910-980m 3 /s.
By 4 p.m. on September 30, the company will increase the spillway discharge. Specifically, the water flow through the dam is 320m 3 / s, the water flow through the turbine is 750-820m 3 / s, the total water flow downstream is 1,070-1,140m 3 / s.
Then, depending on the weather, the water level of Tri An Hydropower Reservoir, the water level downstream of the river at Bien Hoa Hydrological Station, Tri An Hydropower Company can change the water flow discharged through the spillway.
The Company informs the Civil Defense Committees at all levels and relevant local authorities to direct, coordinate and notify people in downstream areas and reservoirs to proactively take preventive measures to avoid possible damage.
