At 22:25, Hue city started fireworks at Hue Imperial City to welcome the New Year of At Ty.
This year's Tet is a special one for the ancient capital of Hue. People here welcome the new year as citizens of the 6th centrally-governed city, the first national heritage city of Vietnam.

On January 28, speaking with Dan Tri reporter, Mr. Hoang Van Diep, head of Lang Nu village, Phuc Khanh commune, Bao Yen district, Lao Cai, said that 33 households in the resettlement area have come to receive their houses and people are busy preparing to welcome the new year.
"Starting yesterday (January 27), people began wrapping banh chung, decorating their houses and cleaning their homes to welcome the new year. This year's Tet is different, not as exciting as every year because many families have lost loved ones.
To help people have a happy Tet holiday, starting from January 25, the commune and village authorities have gone to each household to visit and give gifts to special cases such as people with revolutionary contributions, difficult cases... I believe that, with the encouragement of the people of the whole country, the people of Lang Nu will unite and soon rise up," said Mr. Diep.
The Nu Village resettlement area, Phuc Khanh Commune, Bao Yen District (Lao Cai Province) is 10 hectares wide, including 40 stilt houses, a community center, and a school. This place was inaugurated on December 22, 2024, more than three months after the flash flood in the early morning of September 10, 2024 that killed 60 people, 7 people are still missing.
