On May 18, at Hanoi Museum, the thematic exhibition "Uncle Ho with Hanoi Capital" and the art space "Lotus Calligraphy" opened, welcoming the public to visit on the occasion of the 133rd anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2023).
Delegates performed the ribbon-cutting ceremony to open the thematic exhibition "Uncle Ho with the Capital Hanoi".
The program was organized by the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports in coordination with the President Ho Chi Minh Relic Site at the Presidential Palace and the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Association after nearly 5 months of research, collection, and preparation of exhibition content.
Speaking at the opening of the exhibition, Director of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports Do Dinh Hong said: During his revolutionary career, Hanoi was the place where President Ho Chi Minh was most attached (17 years, from 1945-1946 and from 1954-1969). Hanoi marks 292 places related to President Ho Chi Minh, associated with many important historical events of the country. His thoughts, feelings and thoughtful, profound advice are now a priceless heritage, a guideline for all activities of the Party Committee, government and people of Hanoi, contributing to building an increasingly civilized and modern capital.
In the thematic exhibition "Uncle Ho with the capital Hanoi", 200 images, documents and valuable relics are divided into 3 themes.
The first part “Hanoi Capital with Uncle Ho” introduces many documents and artifacts about the places that marked important milestones in Uncle Ho’s revolutionary activities in Hanoi. These are images of Hanoi welcoming Uncle Ho, responding to his call, contributing spiritually and materially to the resistance through the rice jar movement to save famine, eradicate illiteracy, rallies, elections, etc. This is also the part that displays many documents about the President Ho Chi Minh Relic Site in the Presidential Palace and images of the day Uncle Ho passed away.
Exchange program with people who met Uncle Ho and donated artifacts to Hanoi Museum.
The second part “Uncle Ho with the Capital Hanoi” displays documents and images showing Uncle Ho’s care and guidance for the Party, government and people of Hanoi in the fields of Party building, government, security and defense, economic development, cultural development, health care and education.
