Mr. Dao Manh Trinh, Principal of the school, said that in the 2024 - 2025 school year, teachers and students of the school achieved impressive achievements.
The school has made constant efforts and achieved many excellent results in teaching and learning, movement activities, as well as provincial and national exams.
In particular, the school is proud to have students who are valedictorians in the National Excellent Student Competition, Silver Medalists in the Asian and International Informatics Olympiads.
Attending and speaking at the ceremony, comrade Le Trong Yen, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the efforts and achievements of teachers and students of Thang Long High School for the Gifted; at the same time, presented congratulatory flower baskets from the Provincial Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee to teachers and students of the school.
He also awarded 20 scholarships (each worth 1 million VND) to students with difficult circumstances who have made great achievements in their studies; and awarded the Medal for the Cause of Building and Developing Lam Dong Province to Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Dung, former Principal of the school, for her outstanding contributions to the province 's education sector.
In particular, in the last school year, the school had Dang Huy Hau who was the valedictorian of the Informatics subject, the Silver Medal of the Asia-Pacific Olympic and the Silver Medal of the International Informatics Olympiad. This is an honor for Thang Long Specialized High School in particular and Lam Dong province in general.
In the 2025-2026 school year, Thang Long High School for the Gifted has 304 grade 10 students with 9 specialized subjects, bringing the total number of students in the school to more than 900.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Dao Manh Trinh pledged to continue promoting the school's teaching and learning traditions. At the same time, he will promote emulation movements, strengthen coordination with parents, focus on comprehensive education and improve the quality of STEM/STEAM education.
The 2025 - 2026 school year is considered a challenging but also full of opportunities for Thang Long Specialized High School to continue to affirm its position as one of the leading high-quality schools in Lam Dong province.
Immediately after the scholarship awarding ceremony, teachers and students of Thang Long High School for the Gifted attended the Opening Ceremony which was broadcast live on Vietnam Television with the participation of Party, State and Government leaders in Hanoi.
