Commendation of military forces participating in mission A80

On the afternoon of September 6, at the headquarters of the Ministry of National Defense, a ceremony was held to commend the achievements of the forces participating in the parade to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day, September 2. General Phan Van Giang, Minister of National Defense, presided over the ceremony.

According to the Ministry of National Defense , participating in the parade and marching in the recent celebration, the military forces participated in 45 blocks (18 standing blocks, 27 walking blocks), 14 blocks of military artillery vehicles, ceremonial artillery forces, air force, navy, service forces, with a number of more than 20,500 people; 200 vehicles, artillery; 47 planes, 41 ships, 12 boats, 662 cars of all kinds.

Agencies and units have done a good job of political and ideological education; officers and soldiers have a good awareness of the significance, stature, historical value, patriotism, national pride and self-respect; 100% of the military volunteered to participate, more than 3,400 people registered to participate in all 3 parades, 164 individuals are students studying at universities who requested to reserve their results to participate in the militia and self-defense force...

On behalf of the Central Military Commission, General Phan Van Giang commended and congratulated the outstanding results and achievements of officers and soldiers of the army and militia forces in participating in the parade to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.

Together with other forces, all blocs and forces of the army and militia have excellently completed their tasks, contributing to creating a majestic parade.

General Phan Van Giang emphasized that compared to the previous training sessions, preliminary rehearsals, and final rehearsals, at the celebration, all units were better, more beautiful, more unified, and had a more heroic spirit. The walking units maintained good horizontal and vertical formations. The vehicle and military artillery units maintained good distance, range, and maneuverability. The units stood solemnly and excitedly.

The air force flew salutes, fired fireworks, and carried torches in a rhythmic manner, following the general script. The sea parade made a strong impression with beautiful and formal images, affirming the determination to firmly protect the sacred sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.

According to Minister Phan Van Giang, the participation of the military blocs of China, Russia, Laos and Cambodia deeply demonstrates the international solidarity, friendship and close cooperation with Vietnam of these countries as well as the correctness and effectiveness of our Party's defense foreign policy.

At the commendation ceremony, the organizing committee announced the decision to commend and award certificates of merit from the Minister of National Defense and certificates of merit from the Director of the General Department of Politics to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in advising, organizing, implementing and participating in task A80.
