Rectifying teacher arrangement at a high school in Ca Mau

GD&TĐ - The Department of Education and Training of Ca Mau has an urgent dispatch on rectifying, reviewing and arranging teachers at Nguyen Viet Khai High School.

On September 29, the Department of Education and Training of Ca Mau province issued urgent dispatch No. 4244 to the Principal of Nguyen Viet Khai High School (Ly Van Lam ward) requesting to rectify the review and arrangement of teachers. Previously, the Department received feedback that the school held a meeting to consider the arrangement of surplus or shortage of teachers, which was not in accordance with the direction in Official Dispatch 3996 dated September 16, causing confusion and creating negative public opinion in the group.

The Department of Education and Training requested Principal Doan Ngoc Be to coordinate with organizations and unions in the school to thoroughly grasp the policy, create consensus and solidarity; carry out the arrangement publicly and transparently, without affecting teaching activities. The implementation process needs to consider the specific circumstances of each teacher, encourage voluntary transfer to areas with shortages and report the results to the Department before the end of September.

According to official dispatch 3996, the Department of Education and Training of Ca Mau has issued on the implementation of the arrangement of local surplus and shortage of teachers in the 2025 - 2026 school year, which must ensure fairness, objectivity, and suitability to the reality of each educational institution; based on staff needs, staffing standards, and subject structure of the 2018 General Education Program.

The transfer must be in line with the expertise, with priority given to volunteer teachers, and then the selection process. In addition, the Department also sets out priority criteria such as: transfer within the same school or same area; teachers who meet professional standards and have good achievements; teachers whose household registration is outside the locality; teachers with less seniority at educational institutions; young, unmarried teachers are encouraged to transfer to places where there is a shortage.

Recently, when the Board of Directors of Nguyen Viet Khai High School implemented the transfer, some teachers working at the school said that the school's Principal had not properly implemented the direction of the Department of Education and Training of Ca Mau in Official Dispatch No. 3996, leading to internal reactions.
