Campaign for pension payment through bank accounts

Recently, the People's Committees of communes and wards in Viet Tri city have stepped up propaganda and mobilization for pensioners and social insurance beneficiaries to pay social security in general and pensions and social insurance benefits in particular through non-cash payment methods, thereby registering to receive personal benefits through bank accounts.

The results of monthly pension and social insurance allowance payments through bank accounts of Viet Tri city in September 2024 increased compared to the end of August 2024. By the end of August 2024, the whole city had 10,084/29,452 beneficiaries paid through bank accounts, reaching a rate of 34.24%/total beneficiaries. By the end of September 2024, the whole city had 16,492/29,452 beneficiaries paid through bank accounts, reaching a rate of 56%/total beneficiaries.

By the end of September 2024, some units achieved relatively high results such as: Hung Lo Commune reached 87.3%, Trung Vuong Commune reached 84.53%, Thanh Dinh Commune reached 83.64%, Tho Son Ward reached 78.49%, Kim Duc Commune reached 75.72%. Besides, there are still some units that have implemented but the results achieved are not high such as: Chu Hoa Commune reached 31.06%, Song Lo Commune reached 41.18%, Duu Lau Ward reached 42.65%...

The above results lead to the rate of beneficiaries receiving payments through bank accounts in Viet Tri city being low compared to the average rate of beneficiaries in urban areas of the whole province as well as the whole country (Viet Tri city reached 56%, the whole province reached 58%, the whole country reached 74%).

In order to continue to develop beneficiaries registering for payment via bank accounts and strive to approach the average rate of the national urban area, the Provincial Social Insurance proposed that the People's Committee of Viet Tri city direct the People's Committees of communes and wards to continue to coordinate to strengthen propaganda and mobilize beneficiaries to register to receive social insurance benefits via bank accounts, especially communes and wards with a large number of beneficiaries who have not received social insurance benefits via bank accounts or communes and wards with a low rate of beneficiaries who have registered to receive benefits via bank accounts, thereby combining reviewing, verifying, adjusting information, cleaning beneficiary data on the national database on population to promote digital transformation in non-cash social security payments, while contributing to accelerating the completion of digital transformation goals in the province.
