DOJI listed the price of 9999 gold this afternoon at 78.00 million VND/tael for buying and 80.00 million VND/tael for selling. The gold price decreased by 500,000 VND/tael for buying.
At Mi Hong Jewelry Company, the price of Mi Hong gold at the time of survey was listed at 79.00 - 80.00 million VND/tael (buy - sell).
SJC gold price at Bao Tin Minh Chau Company Limited is also traded by the enterprise at 78.50 - 80.00 million VND/tael (buy in - sell out). Meanwhile, at Bao Tin Manh Hai, it is being traded at 78.80 - 80.00 million VND/tael (buy in - sell out).
SJC gold bars recorded a decrease in buying price at the beginning of the week, specifically at DOJI Group, the price was adjusted down by 500,000 VND/tael, bringing the price down to 78 million VND/tael. PNJ gold was bought at 75.85 million VND/tael and sold at 77.19 million VND/tael, an increase of 150,000 VND for buying compared to the previous session.
The central exchange rate listed by the State Bank is 24,261 VND/USD, down 15 VND/USD. The USD price at commercial banks is traded around 25,144 VND/USD for buying and 25,474 VND/USD for selling.

World gold price today July 22, 2024 and world gold price fluctuation chart in the past 24 hours
According to Kitco, the world gold price recorded at 2:00 p.m. today, Vietnam time, was 2,402.92 USD/ounce. Today's gold price increased by 4.4 USD/ounce compared to the closing price of the trading session. Converted according to the current exchange rate at Vietcombank, the world gold price is about 72.410 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is still 5.59 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.

The world spot gold price stood at 2,402.92 USD/ounce, up 4.4 USD/ounce compared to the close of last week's trading session. The precious metal jumped right at the opening of the new week, in the context of the market receiving information that President Joe Biden officially announced his withdrawal from the race for the White House.
Precious metals immediately benefited from safe-haven demand as the US election situation was chaotic, with President Biden's withdrawal from the race said by experts to be a market destabilizer.
Last week, gold prices hit a new historical peak of 2,480 USD/ounce before being strongly sold at the end of the week. However, the precious metal may rise again when the US begins its interest rate cut policy next September.
Gold price forecast
According to Kitco’s gold price survey this week, market analysts and experts all believe that the precious metal will recover. Specifically, in the survey on Wall Street, of the 16 analysts who participated in the survey, 38% said that gold prices will increase, 38% said that gold prices will decrease and the rest predicted that gold prices will remain unchanged.
In an online survey on Main Street, investors were more optimistic, with 61% of 168 respondents saying that gold prices will continue to rise in the coming days, 21% predicting that gold prices will fall, and the remaining 17% saying that gold prices will remain stable.
