Unbelievable beauty in Hung Trau when flooded

Hung Trau in Thuong Hoa commune (Minh Hoa - Quang Binh) is a place name given by the local people long ago. The special thing about Hung Trau is that during the rainy season, this valley has no drainage, the water is stored and rises, cutting off the road leading to the villages where the Ruc people live.

The rugged limestone terrain is submerged by floodwaters for more than a month each year, creating a rare natural "wonder" among the limestone mountains.

The only road to the Ruc people is formed between limestone mountains. Every early morning, the road is difficult to observe due to the fog.

During flood season, when the water level rises, this only road will be submerged in floodwater for more than a month, the deepest point of water can be up to more than 10m.

Traveling through Hung Trau during the rainy season is mainly done by boat or motorboat to serve the travel needs and supply essential goods for the lives of the Ruc people.

Because of the flooding, thousands of native trees and ancient trees had their roots submerged, while their tops floated on the lake surface.

When the steam rises and the clouds hang down close to the foot of the mountain, it creates a magical beauty in the morning mist.

The higher the sky, the more the mist dissipates and the clear blue water creates a beautiful lake surface.

Many areas are ideal photography spots for tourists when visiting this area during flood season.

Taking a boat trip to visit Hung Trau in the early morning when the mist has not yet cleared is also very interesting.

The rising sunlight shining through the canyons creates a surreal picture.

With wooden boats drifting, visitors can approach ancient trees, bushes with part of their trunks and foliage floating on the water surface.
