Top 60 MBA training in Asia
On September 17, Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) announced the 3 best university rankings in the world in 2026 in the field of business training: MBA, online MBA and master of business analysis. Although there is still no representative in the online MBA and master of business analysis rankings, Vietnam still made its mark when for the first time, two schools entered the world's best MBA training rankings.
The two new faces have in common that they are both private universities, including British University Vietnam (Hung Yen) and VinUni University ( Hanoi ). In which, British University Vietnam is in the 251-300 group in the world and ranked 43rd in Asia, while VinUni University is in the 301+ group in the world and ranked 52nd in Asia. Vietnam is also 1/15 Asian countries represented in this year's MBA rankings.
According to the ranking information, the criteria for which the two Vietnamese schools scored highest were class and faculty diversity, with scores of 75.1 (VinUni University) and 69.6 (British University Vietnam) on a 100-point scale. Meanwhile, with the criteria of entrepreneurship and alumni outcomes, British University Vietnam scored 46.7/100 points, more than double that of VinUni University (20 points).
In terms of ROI, British University Vietnam continues to score higher (50), not much different from VinUni University (45.5). British University Vietnam MBA students' employability after graduation is also scored higher by QS (32 compared to 26.5 of VinUni University). However, VinUni University takes the lead in thought leadership with a score of 26.3, 4.5 points higher than British University Vietnam.
According to QS, to be ranked, schools must teach MBA directly at the training facility, full-time training form and class size of at least 15 students. All participating schools must be recognized by one of three prestigious accreditation organizations: AACSB, AMBA or EFMD (EQUIS). In addition, schools also need to provide many other relevant data to be considered for ranking.

America is overwhelming in numbers
According to QS, the 2026 MBA University Rankings are based on 13 indicators, divided into 5 main criteria: graduate employability (40%), ROI (20%), gender and nationality diversity, career potential and alumni achievements (both 15%), and leadership (10%). The ranking data is collected from 3 surveys with employers, academics, and the schools themselves.
In 2026, three QS rankings analyzed 1,446 graduate management programs from 637 educational institutions, thereby determining the positions of 389 schools in the world's best MBA university rankings. This year, the top ranking belongs to Wharton School (University of Pennsylvania, USA), followed by Harvard Business School (Harvard University, USA) and Sloan School of Management (Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA).
The US is also the country with the overwhelming number of representatives with 124 schools, but 66 of them have dropped in rank. Also in terms of quantity, the UK holds the second position with 35 schools, followed by Canada (22), Australia (14), India (14). On the other hand, British University Vietnam and VinUni are 2 of the 64 new names appearing in this year's ranking.
QS is one of the three most prestigious and influential university ranking organizations in the world, along with the Times Higher Education (UK) and Shanghai Ranking Consultancy (China). QS started ranking universities in 2004, one year after the world first had a global university ranking published by Shanghai Jiao Tong University (China), which was later undertaken by Shanghai Ranking Consultancy.
