Vinh Linh: Producing 158.1 hectares of organic rice in the 2023 winter-spring crop

Implementing the policy of supporting the development of a number of crops and livestock to create key products with competitive advantages, in the 2023-2024 winter-spring crop, Vinh Linh district will deploy an organic rice production project with a total investment of 2.16 billion VND (of which people will contribute over 1.3 billion VND).

The project is implemented on an area of ​​158.1 hectares in 3 communes: Vinh Thuy 93.6 hectares; Vinh Long 20 hectares and Vinh Lam 44.53 hectares. Of which, the supported area is 119.53 hectares belonging to the cooperatives: Duc Xa, Thuy Ba Ha, Tien My, Dang Xa, Thuong Hoa with varieties of quality such as: DV108, ADI28, ST25, HN6, HG12. Vinh Linh district implements a mechanism to support rice varieties and some types of fertilizers but not more than 50%.

It is expected that the organic rice production model will be continued to be replicated in Vinh Linh district in the coming time. This will increase productivity, rice output, and people's income, while ensuring the environment in modern agricultural production.
