The play "Two Mothers" was a big success, People's Artist Trinh Kim Chi emotionally congratulated Cat Tuong and Dao Van Anh.

On the evening of June 26, the closing ceremony of the 2024 Drama Festival organized by the Department of Performing Arts of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the Vietnam Stage Artists Association at the Viet Bac Folk Music and Dance Theater, Thai Nguyen City, Thai Nguyen Province concluded after 15 days of competition.

The festival brings together nearly 1,000 artists, actors, and staff from 19 art units and 23 plays.

At the end of the festival, the Organizing Committee awarded gold medals to three plays, including: "White Night" (Vietnam Drama Theater), "Ungrateful Circle" ( Hanoi Drama Theater) and "Ghost Catcher" (Hai Phong Drama Troupe).

The Festival Organizing Committee also awarded silver medals to 5 plays, including "Two Mothers" by Trinh Kim Chi Stage; awarded gold medals to 32 actors and silver medals to 49 actors; awarded excellent prizes to creative elements, including: Excellent Author (Chu Lai, play "Unthankful Circle", Hanoi Drama Theater), Excellent Director (Tran Luc, play "Doll", LucTeam Stage), Excellent Artist (Do Doan Bang, play "Time Wharf", Youth Theater).

In addition to the Silver Medal for the play "Two Mothers", there were also individual awards: Meritorious Artist Cat Tuong (Gold Medal for the role of the mother), artist Dao Van Anh (Gold Medal for the role of the mother), actor Nam Cuong (Silver Medal for the role of Sang), actress Truc Ly (Silver Medal for the role of Thuong).

In his summary assessment of the Festival, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong said that the Festival had created creativity, closely following the issues of contemporary life, which is the strength of the drama genre. The Festival had summarized many changes in the drama stage, with many new things in content and form.

In addition to the Silver Medal for the play "Two Mothers", there were also individual awards: Meritorious Artist Cat Tuong (Gold Medal for the role of the mother), artist Dao Van Anh (Gold Medal for the role of the mother).

People's Artist Trinh Kim Chi was pleased with the achievements of the creative team, and said that after attending the festival, she will promote this play in Ho Chi Minh City.
