Vu Minh Hieu sings a duet with Thanh Thanh Hien in the first mini show

More than a month ago, Vu Minh Hieu won the 2nd runner-up position in the 2024 Music Peak contest in the folk music category. To express his gratitude to the audience who supported him, Vu Minh Hieu organized the first mini-show Lullaby in Hanoi .

The music night, organized by Vang Son Mot Thoi, depicted the portrait of the runner-up of Peak of Music Vu Minh Hieu through 3 chapters: Lullaby, Return and Folk songs of 3 regions.

The male singer invited his teacher - Sao Mai Thu Ha, artist Thanh Thanh Hien and student Thanh Tho to participate as guests. MC Kim Nguyen Bao also contributed stories about his musical career and life so that the audience could see more clearly the initial musical portrait of Vu Minh Hieu.

In the first music night, Vu Minh Hieu presented the audience with songs he successfully performed, helping him win the runner-up position at the Peak of Music , including Mother's River (Songwriter: Minh Vy), Love of People from Ha Tinh (Music: Luu Ha An, Lyrics: Lan Dung).

Vu Minh Hieu also sent the audience songs about lullabies and his homeland that he loved since he was a child such as: Lullaby (Songwriter Le Minh), Dan Bau Sound (Songwriter Nguyen Dinh Phuc)...

Vu Minh Hieu’s first mini-show featured the important women in his artistic career. First of all, we must mention Vu Minh Hieu’s teacher – PhD in Music, Sao Mai Thu Ha – Head of the Faculty of Arts, Hanoi National University of Education.

Vu Minh Hieu is a young man with many ambitions in art. He not only studies at the National Academy of Music, but is also currently a student at the Faculty of Arts, Hanoi Pedagogical University with the desire to become a music teacher, guiding generations of students with his own love of music.

Dr. - Artist Thu Ha shared that, near the time of the performance, it was raining heavily so she was a bit worried about her student. "At this point, when the show was taking place, I thought, maybe that was Vu Minh Hieu's luck, that was the answer for Vu Minh Hieu. How much must I love him for the auditorium to be so crowded today" - Sao Mai Thu Ha said.

She also affirmed that Vu Minh Hieu is the pride of her as well as many teachers in the Faculty of Arts - Hanoi National University of Education. Artist Thu Ha wishes her student to develop more, to pursue his passion and not disappoint the expectations of his teachers, relatives and the audience.

Having thanked teacher Thu Ha many times on his personal page, in his first minishow, Vu Minh Hieu once again expressed his gratitude for her guidance and encouragement on his first steps in his artistic career.

Participating in the music night as a guest, singer Thu Ha presented the audience with the songs "Choi Voi" (Music: Vu Hoai Nam, Lyrics: Ho Mau Thanh) , "Tho tinh cua nui" (musician An Thuyen), and sang a duet with Vu Minh Hieu with the song " Trang sang doi mien" (An Trung).

A memorable mark in Vu Minh Hieu's Lullaby music night was the appearance of Thanh Thanh Hien - his "senior", his idol since he was a child.

Thanh Thanh Hien sang Ve que (musician Pho Duc Phuong), Dang dang Ben Tre (musician Nguyen Van Ty), and dueted with Vu Minh Hieu the songs Ly muoi thuong (Folk songs of Binh Tri Thien) and Tinh yeu tren dong song quan ho (musician Phan Lac Hoa).

Thanh Thanh Hien shared that her singing style is a bit different so she rarely sings duets, but standing on the same stage singing duets with her juniors makes her feel very comfortable and excited. The audience also gave many compliments to the two artists' duet with sweet and harmonious folk songs.

Also participating in Vu Minh Hieu's music night on the evening of September 20 was Thanh Tho, his student at the Golden Age Arts Center. Thanh Tho - Vu Minh Hieu performed the song Son (by composer Duc Nghia).

The music night showed a multi-talented Vu Minh Hieu when he performed many different genres of music, but like the name of the program Lullaby, Vu Minh Hieu always wanted to find his true self in folk music and music with folk melodies - sounds that have been ingrained in his blood since he was a child.

Vu Minh Hieu was born in Nam Dinh, grew up with traditional music such as Chau Van, Cheo..., so traditional Vietnamese music has "permeated" into his musical spirit.

After the mini show, Vu Minh Hieu shared : “I feel very happy and moved. Happy because I was able to sublimate on stage and burn myself out with music. Moved by the presence of all my relatives, teachers, friends, colleagues, students, and audiences… Everyone braved the wind and rain to come to my mini show.

The minishow was held right after my success at the 2024 Music Peak competition, this is the first step I took to conquer the audience after the award.

The path of an artist is very long, to conquer the audience also requires a lot of effort, hard work and perseverance, I will always strive to have more and more audiences love me and to be successful on the path I love".
