On the afternoon of September 24, speaking with Tuoi Tre Online , Mr. Do Van Huu (in residential group number 7 Kien Bai, Thien Huong ward, Hai Phong city) said that his family will ask the "genie" to move the house built on the wrong land of Ms. Tran Thi Kim Loan (in residential group An Duong, An Hai ward, Hai Phong city) to the location of his land lot, returning the land lot to Ms. Loan.
According to Mr. Huu, his family has contacted Ms. Loan many times in the past to buy back the land where he built the wrong house. However, Ms. Loan always avoided meeting him. Therefore, the family agreed to ask the "genie" to move the wrongly built house to their land location.
Previously, as reported by Tuoi Tre Online , on September 23, 2024, Ms. Loan and her husband received the transfer of land use rights from Mr. Nguyen Tri Hau and his wife.
The land plot was granted a land use right certificate by the People's Committee of Thuy Nguyen district (old) on October 19, 2024 with an area of 60m2 at plot 4856, map sheet number 3, residential group 7 Kien Bai, Thien Huong ward, Hai Phong city.
Before receiving the land use rights certificate, Mrs. Loan and her husband discovered that Mr. Huu's family had poured the foundation and built a house on the land that she and her husband had bought, so they asked Mr. Huu and his wife to immediately stop construction.
However, the construction continued. Ms. Loan asked the broker to contact Mr. Huu to request that the construction stop, but was unsuccessful.
On October 13, 2024, Ms. Loan and her husband submitted a petition to the People's Committee of Kien Bai commune (old) and on November 18, 2024, the People's Committee of Kien Bai commune issued a notice requesting Mr. Huu's family to stop construction.
On November 20, 2024, the People's Committee of Kien Bai commune invited both parties to a meeting. Here, Mr. Do Van Huu confirmed that the house construction on the land of Mrs. Loan and her husband was due to the wrong location. At the same time, he said that his family bought a plot of land 4 plots away from the land of Mrs. Loan and her husband.
Mr. Huu suggested that the two parties exchange the land so that he could continue to complete the house, or sell the land to Mr. Huu’s family. However, Mrs. Loan and her husband did not agree, and the two parties could not agree on a solution.
After the mediation session at the Commune People's Committee failed, Mr. Huu continued to build, so Mrs. Loan and her husband sent another petition to the Kien Bai Commune People's Committee.
On November 28, 2024, the People's Committee of Kien Bai Commune made a record of Mr. Huu's family continuing to allow construction workers to continue construction despite a notice requesting to stop construction. However, Mr. Huu and his wife continued to build.
The house is now completed and Mr. Huu's family has moved in.
According to the People's Committee of Thien Huong Ward, on August 11, the People's Court of Region 1 - Hai Phong held a first-instance trial of the case and issued judgment No. 08/2025/DS-ST on the dispute over land use rights, requesting the demolition of illegal construction works.
The verdict declared "accepting the plaintiff's request to initiate a lawsuit. Forcing Mr. Do Van Huu and Ms. Vu Thi Tuyen to move all their belongings and dismantle all construction works on plot 4856, map sheet number 03 in residential group 7, Kien Bai area, Thien Huong ward to return the above plot of land to Mr. Nguyen Dang Ca and Ms. Tran Thi Kim Loan".
