This park project has a total investment of up to 6,400 billion VND, implemented from 2024-2030 according to Decision 117/QD-BHTDT on the green park development plan of the Ho Chi Minh City Urban Infrastructure Construction Investment Project Management Board (Urban Infrastructure Board).

The park is located on the banks of the Saigon River, a natural wetland area, receiving water from upstream and tidal water from the sea. This was once considered a large swamp. The main function of this area is for environmental protection and drainage, preserving the natural wetland ecosystem right in the center of Ho Chi Minh City.

Seen from above, the road is beautiful and cool with surrounding vegetation. The flora here is diverse, from trees such as trees, vines to shrubs, water coconuts, reeds...

Currently, the park area in Ho Chi Minh City is only over 500 hectares, equivalent to about 0.55 square meters per person, much lower than the urban green tree standard of 15 square meters per person. Therefore, this park project not only brings environmental and economic value but also creates an important highlight in the sustainable development strategy of Ho Chi Minh City.

According to the Ministry of Construction , although current urban planning standards require a minimum green space area of 4-7m2/person, the actual rate only meets a part. In particular, large cities such as Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Da Nang, and Hai Phong are very "thirsty" for green space. In particular, Ho Chi Minh City has a public green space area of only 0.55m2/person, Hanoi 2.06m2/person, Da Nang 2.4m2/person and Hai Phong about 3.41m2/person.
