The first commune in Ky Anh district received the certificate of recognition as a model new rural area.

With the efforts of the entire political system and the consensus of the people, Ky Chau commune (Ky Anh, Ha Tinh) was recognized as the first model new rural commune in Ky Anh district.

On the afternoon of November 17, the People's Committee of Ky Anh district held a ceremony to receive the certificate recognizing Ky Chau commune as a model new rural area (NTM) with outstanding achievements in digital transformation.

Identifying the construction of new rural areas as a continuous goal with no end point, in recent times, Ky Chau commune has resolutely and synchronously implemented solutions with proactive and creative approaches. Immediately after achieving the advanced new rural commune standards in 2021, the Party Committee, government and people of Ky Chau commune are determined to continue to maintain and improve the quality of the criteria, striving to build a model new rural commune.

In the construction of the new rural model alone, Ky Chau commune has mobilized more than 3 billion VND. Of which, the mobilized source is more than 720 million VND from the central budget; 1.5 billion VND from the commune budget; 800 million VND from the people...

In addition, in the past time, Ky Chau commune has mobilized people to donate thousands of square meters of land, contribute thousands of working days to construct works, expand traffic roads. Thanks to that, up to now, the whole commune has 1,239/1,239 km of commune roads; 6.04/6.04 km of village and inter-village roads are hardened (1,969 km of concrete and 4,071 km of asphalt); 8,986/8,986 km of alley roads are hardened, ensuring light - green - clean - beautiful, creating convenience for people to travel and trade to develop the economy .

Economic development and income improvement for people are of special concern to the commune and there have been practical and effective stimulus policies, bringing policies to the people, models of production development, livestock, industry, small-scale industry and trade - services... Current average income per capita reaches 57 million VND/person/year. The whole commune has established 17 economic models; 385 business households operate effectively and develop sustainably.

The activities of building model residential areas and model gardens have spread to the awareness of every citizen. The whole commune currently has 4/4 villages meeting the standards of model residential areas and 18 gardens meeting the 5 criteria of model gardens; 2 residential areas: Bac Chau and Thuan Chau achieving the standards of smart residential areas.

Education and training work has been given attention, and the quality of teaching and learning has been increasingly improved. Up to now, both schools (kindergarten and primary school) in the commune have met national standards, "green - clean - beautiful - safe" and "happy school" standards; there is a physical education model for students to practice physical strength, skills, and endurance suitable for all ages. The medical station has been invested in and built spaciously; primary health care for the people has been taken care of; over 95% of the population participates in health insurance, and 93% of the population has health management. Security, order, and social safety are guaranteed.

With the efforts and determination of the entire political system, the consensus and joint efforts of all the people in building the new rural area, on September 13, 2023, the Provincial People's Committee recognized Ky Chau commune as a model new rural commune in the outstanding field of digital transformation.

At the ceremony, Secretary of Ky Anh District Party Committee Ho Huy Thanh emphasized that in the coming time, the commune needs to continue to promote responsibility and raise awareness of the entire political system in building new rural areas; must consider this a key, regular and long-term political task; always identify the people as the main subject in the task of building new rural areas.

In addition, attention should be paid to training and improving the capacity and qualifications of the staff working in new rural construction; focusing on mobilizing resources, continuing to invest in new rural construction; promoting local strengths to develop the socio-economy, improving all aspects of life for the people.

In the coming time, Ky Chau commune will continue its journey to improve and maintain the model NTM criteria such as: developed production, protected environment, green fences on village roads and alleys, solid infrastructure, improved staff, and happy people. Ky Chau will become a locality that attracts tourists to visit and experience; for businesses to want to invest; for people far from home to always be proud and want to return, nurture, and build their homeland.
