Previously, the People's Committee of Thang Dien commune agreed on the policy of building a concentrated resettlement area in An My village with a scale of 10 hectares of agricultural land to serve the project.
The resettlement area is expected to be invested synchronously, spacious with many amenities to help people settle down. Through screening, over 50 households in An My village with agricultural land were affected.
At the meeting, most households agreed that the locality should arrange a resettlement area with decent infrastructure, and at the same time hoped that after the land is recovered, the state must create stable livelihoods and jobs for the affected people.
Mr. Huynh Van Tung, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Thang Dien Commune, said that agricultural land has been a long-standing source of livelihood for the people. However, for the common purpose, the commune government hopes that the people will agree so that the national key project can be completed soon.
The Commune People's Committee will receive comments and continue to discuss with relevant departments to come up with the most beneficial plan so that people can feel secure in giving up land to build resettlement areas.
