Timely handling of smart key interference problem in Kim Ma area, Hanoi

For nearly a month now, people living and working around house numbers 253, 255, 269 Kim Ma Street (Hanoi) have encountered an unusual phenomenon, many motorbikes using smart keys cannot start, forcing the owners to take them out of the area to start the engine.

Receiving people's feedback via Fanpage, the Regional Radio Frequency Center I (Radio Frequency Department) urgently sent a working group to the scene the next morning, even though it was a weekend.

Through measurement, the authorities determined that the cause of the interference was a QR code scanning device used to compare Vietlott results. This device was faulty, continuously emitting signals on the 433.05 - 434.79 MHz frequency band - a frequency exempted from licensing for remote control devices such as smart keys (according to Circular 08/2021/TT-BTTTT). After the device was handled, vehicles in the area returned to normal operation, ending the inconvenience and anxiety for the people.

A representative of the Regional Radio Frequency Center I said: "Immediately after receiving the feedback, we promptly deployed forces to ensure the rights and safety of the people. Timely handling not only fixes the problem but also contributes to raising awareness about the importance of using standard radio equipment."

Using floating products of unknown origin and without certification of conformity can directly affect safety, information security and daily life. People and organizations are advised to only buy equipment of clear origin, meeting technical standards, certified and with conformity marking.
