Strictly handle harassment and negativity in military service examination

(NLDO) - The Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee has just issued a document requesting strict handling of harassment and negativity in military service examination work.

Mr. Nguyen Van Tung, Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee, Chairman of the City Military Service Council, has just directed in Document 2639 requesting the People's Committees of districts to strengthen leadership and direction, promote the role and responsibility of members of the Military Service Council at all levels, local agencies, departments, branches and organizations in performing military recruitment tasks.

Leaders of Ngo Quyen District, Hai Phong City inspected the preliminary health examination points for military service in the district.

Properly and fully implement the steps in the process of selecting and calling citizens to join the army and citizens to perform their duty to join the People's Public Security in 2025 to ensure strictness, democracy, publicity, fairness, and compliance with the law, completing 100% of military recruitment targets, and good quality.

The police agency coordinates with the military agency at the same level to strictly manage the source of citizens of military age; focus on selecting and calling citizens who have graduated from universities and colleges, citizens who are working in enterprises, agencies, organizations, and children of officials at all levels to join the army to improve the quality of citizens joining the army and ensure social justice. Districts must ensure that the proportion of citizens with college or university degrees joining the army reaches 15% or more compared to the military recruitment target.

Medical centers and general hospitals coordinate with military and police agencies to do a good job of preparing locations, human resources, facilities, medical equipment, etc. to ensure that the examination and organization of medical examinations for military service and public security service are strict and serious; examining correctly and fully all contents, conclusions, and health classifications according to regulations; conducting "health checks for those who are healthy, that person is sure", not to compensate for the number of soldiers after military service due to not meeting health standards.

Districts must ensure that the number of citizens who meet health standards for military service is 120% or more of the military service quota; actively encourage and provide financial support for citizens with refractive eye defects who wish to join the military, undergo refractive surgery, and call for military service.

The Chairman of the Hai Phong City Military Service Council requested strict handling of organizations and individuals who abuse their assigned authority, power, and tasks to cause interference and negativity in health examination work; and citizens who violate military service and the obligation to join the People's Public Security in accordance with the provisions of law.

In 2025, Hai Phong City was assigned by the Prime Minister to select and call 2,550 citizens to join the army, and 301 citizens to perform their duty to join the people's police.
