Record Tet bonus appears, more than 5.6 billion VND

The Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Long An province said that through synthesis, 603 enterprises in the area have reported New Year bonuses in 2024, with 50,110 employees.

Accordingly, the average bonus is 1 million VND/person; the highest is 6 million VND/person; the lowest is 100,000 VND/person for new employees who have worked for less than 12 months.

Besides, there are 825 enterprises reporting this year's Tet bonus with 105,008 employees.

In recent years, information about the highest Tet bonus in the country belongs to an FDI enterprise operating in the banking sector in Ho Chi Minh City for Tet 2020. The highest bonus at that time was 3.5 billion VND.

Compared to the peak bonus year before the Covid-19 pandemic, the highest bonus received by the employee in Long An this year is almost double.

Accordingly, the highest bonus of 5.686 billion VND/person belongs to a foreign-invested enterprise. This is a company specializing in designing and manufacturing automation equipment and mechanical parts.

The average bonus in the province is 7 million VND/person, the lowest bonus is 500,000 VND/person for new employees who have worked for less than 12 months.

According to the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Long An province, as of December 20, there were 1,031 enterprises in the province reporting to 133,281 employees about the implementation of the wage regime.

Enterprises implement a salary and wage regime for employees higher than the minimum wage prescribed by the State, with clear distinction between managerial and executive workers, highly skilled workers and direct production workers.

Average salary income in 2023 will reach 8.3 million VND/month, an increase of 1.22% compared to 2022.

Of which, the salary of a limited liability company with 100% state capital is 20 million VND/month; a joint stock company with state-dominated capital contribution is 8.7 million VND/month; a private enterprise is 7.8 million VND/month; a foreign-invested enterprise is 8.3 million VND/month.

The highest salary paid to employees of a LLC with 100% state capital is 59.3 million VND/person. In addition, the salary of a joint stock company with state capital is 27 million VND/person; the salary of a private enterprise is 76 million VND/person and the highest salary of a foreign-invested enterprise is 441 million VND/person.
