The recent job fair organized by the Department of Home Affairs of Da Nang City in coordination with the People's Committee of Nam Tra My Commune attracted more than 350 workers and 10 businesses to participate. The event is considered an effective connection channel, opening up many new job opportunities for local workers.
At the session, businesses directly consulted and introduced a variety of recruitment positions, from garment, wood processing, tourism services to technical workers and general laborers in industrial zones. In particular, the group of labor export businesses introduced work programs in Korea, Japan, and Saudi Arabia with many advantages such as low cost, short training time and stable income, attracting the attention of many young people.
Ms. Ho Trieu Man, who has participated in seasonal work in Korea 5 times, shared: “Previously, thanks to the job exchange, I had the opportunity to be recruited to work in Hamyang district. The job was stable, the income was good, so after each contract I registered to continue. This time, I still decided to choose the Korean market.”
Mr. Ho Van Dat (Nuoc Xa village, Nam Tra My commune) said that his income was unstable in the past, not enough to cover his living expenses. After participating in the trading session, he decided to register to work in Saudi Arabia. According to Mr. Dat, although the salary here is not as high as other markets, the initial cost is low and the training time is short, suitable for his conditions.
Currently, Nam Tra My commune has nearly 150 workers working abroad, of which more than 60 people have stable income in Hamyang district (South Korea). Their success is an important premise, encouraging local youth to boldly register to participate in labor export programs in 2025.

Statistics at the event showed that more than 300 workers submitted applications, of which 60 applied for labor export, the rest chose to work in domestic industrial zones. It is expected that after the preliminary round, hundreds of workers will be accepted by businesses.
Mr. Vo Nhu Son Tra, Vice Chairman of Nam Tra My Commune People's Committee, said that poverty reduction work has always been focused on by the locality with many solutions, in which creating stable jobs for people is the top priority.
"The job fair helps highland workers access official recruitment information, reducing risks compared to spontaneous job searching. This is a sustainable direction for Nam Tra My commune to achieve its poverty reduction goal in the coming years," Mr. Tra emphasized.
