Last article: Loving homes - The influence of everyday stories
The success of the emulation movement “Join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses” is not only reflected in the number of houses built but also in the changes of many people when they have a stable home. Each house built is a new milestone, affirming the meaning of security and profound humanity. It is from everyday stories that the movement has spread, arousing the spirit of solidarity in the community.
The emulation movement to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses is a correct policy. This is considered a "special national project" of "the Party's will and the people's heart", imbued with the spirit of compatriots.
Living in a warm and loving home
Each new house not only dispels the worries of rain and sun but also opens up faith and hope for those in difficult circumstances. The story of Mr. Bui Chi Trinh (residing in Hau Thanh commune, Tay Ninh province) has shown that humane meaning.
Trinh’s family is near-poor and life is extremely difficult. Having no land to produce, he has to work for hire to support his school-age daughter. He also has a serious illness, poor health, and unstable job, so the family is even more destitute.
The small house of the father and son was makeshift, rickety, and dilapidated. Every time it rained, water splashed in from all sides, leaving no dry place to rest or live. In such a situation, taking care of daily life was too difficult, so the dream of a solid roof seemed too far away for him.
Understanding his situation, the local government and philanthropists promptly supported the construction of a warm house. The house not only protects him from the rain and sun but also serves as a great source of encouragement, helping him gain more strength to overcome his illness, stabilize his life and help his daughter study with peace of mind.
“I am sick, in poor health, and raising a small child alone. There were times when I thought I could not survive. The house that was built with support has helped my children and I have a stable place to live and has given me more confidence to overcome difficulties. I am very touched by the sharing of the community and local authorities,” Mr. Trinh said, choking up.
The family of Mr. Ha Van Day (residing in Thanh Hoa commune) is one of the households with particularly difficult circumstances. He and his wife have 2 small children, their life is precarious, mainly depending on fishing to make a living. The family's makeshift house has no electricity or water, lacking in every way. On rainy and stormy days, the whole family is even more miserable when they have to struggle to find a dry place to take shelter.
Mr. Day's parents are also poor households and received support to build a Great Unity house 2 years ago. Now it is his family's turn to continue to receive care and sharing. This support not only helps him and his wife have a place to live in time, but also serves as a spiritual support for family members to have more determination to overcome difficulties and nurture their dream of a more stable life.
Mr. Day emotionally shared: “Previously, our makeshift, leaky house made my wife and I worried every time it rained or was windy. With support to build a new house, my family is very happy, has more motivation to work and raise our children to be good people. We are truly grateful to the government and benefactors for their care and help.”
From the solid houses that have sprung up in poor rural areas, it can be seen that the movement “Join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses” has truly brought about practical changes. The new shelters are not only a place to shelter from the rain and sun, but also open up opportunities for children to study in better conditions, so that fathers and mothers can reduce their daily worries and focus on escaping poverty. This is the profound human value that spreads from the movement to every alley and every house.
"Special national project" of "Party's will, people's heart"
Eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses is not only a solution to improve housing but also a deeply humane social policy, demonstrating the care of the Party and State for poor households and the disadvantaged. Each completed house is a concrete demonstration of putting people at the center of development, linking economic growth with equity and social progress.
When the poor have a place to live, they will feel secure in working, producing, and raising their children, thereby opening the door to integration and advancement. The valuable thing is that the movement "Join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses" not only relies on budget resources but also strongly arouses the spirit of solidarity and "mutual love and support" in society.
Ms. Pham Thi Bay (residing in Thanh Phuoc commune) said: “Since moving into the new, spacious house, my family has been given more motivation, no longer worried about the rainy season. I have more faith and hope, feel secure in working, producing, and gradually stabilizing my life.”
Through the movement, social trust is strengthened, village and neighborhood ties are strengthened, and national solidarity is fostered. This is an important premise for social security to become a solid foundation in the country's development strategy.
Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Nguyen Thi Thu Trinh affirmed: “The emulation movement to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses is a correct policy, this is considered a “special national project” of “the Party’s will, the people’s heart”, imbued with the spirit of compatriots and carrying profound humanistic values. The strict implementation of the motto “6 clear” (clear people, clear work, clear responsibility, clear authority, clear time, clear results) and “4 truths” (tell the truth, do the truth, real effectiveness, people benefit from it) has contributed significantly to the success of the movement. In the coming time, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front will continue to innovate social security emulation movements in a practical, deep, and broad direction, touching the hearts of the people, while at the same time doing well in supporting jobs and sustainable livelihoods, towards the goal of no more multidimensional poor households by 2030”.
Eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses is therefore not just a competitive movement but a journey of striving for the development of all aspects of social life. The warm and loving homes that are built are also symbols of a humane society, full of love and aspirations for sustainable development in the new era - the era of national development./.
