At 02:45 on September 11, Da Nang Border Guard Squadron 2 received information about a serious accident at sea.
The accident victim was crew member Nguyen Van Nam (47 years old), on the ship DNa-91308-TS, captained by Nguyen Van Bay. During the fishing process, crew member Nguyen Van Nam was hit hard in the neck by the winch cable on the ship, causing serious injury, loss of consciousness and vomiting.
Although the fishing boat took the initiative to bring the victim to shore, it was realized that the time for the fishing boat to move to the nearest shore was up to more than 12 hours and 30 minutes, which could endanger life and the time for emergency aid was an important factor. Therefore, the Commander of the Da Nang City Border Guard decided to issue an emergency order, mobilizing the Border Guard force to support the rescue.

Receiving the Commander's order, at 3:48 a.m., the Border Guard Squadron 2 dispatched ship BP 08-98-01, with 9 officers and soldiers, commanded by Captain Phan Hoang Long - Deputy Squadron Commander, to carry out the mission. Ship BP 08-98-01 took off that night, heading towards the location of the fishing boat in distress, about 25.4 nautical miles east-northeast of the Border Control Station Pier 15, Son Tra Border Guard Station.
At 5:29 a.m., ship BP 08-98-01 approached ship DNa-91308-TS at a location about 18.4 nautical miles from Son Tra Border Guard Station. Border Guard forces coordinated with officers from the 115 Emergency Center to provide first aid and transfer the distressed fishermen to the Border Guard ship.
The commander of ship DNa-91308-TS quickly maneuvered the formation to the shore. At about 6:45 a.m., ship BP 08-98-01 safely docked at Border Control Station Construction 15, Son Tra Border Post. The 115 Emergency Center arranged vehicles to wait and immediately take the fisherman to Da Nang General Hospital for emergency treatment. Thanks to that, it is recorded that the fisherman's health condition is more stable now.
The rescue work was carried out quickly and effectively thanks to the timely coordination between Border Guard Squadron 2, Emergency Center 115 and related units. This is a clear demonstration of the decisiveness and timeliness of the Border Guard force, helping to protect the lives of fishermen at sea./.
