The question and answer session will be held today at Dien Hong Room, National Assembly House and connected online with National Assembly delegations in provinces and centrally run cities.

In the 25th Session on August 15, the National Assembly Standing Committee will organize question and answer activities on groups of issues in the two fields of justice and agriculture and rural development.

National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue and Vice Chairmen of the National Assembly presided.

The question and answer session was broadcast live on Voice of Vietnam Radio and televised live on Vietnam National Assembly Television Channel and Vietnam Television for voters to follow and monitor.

The 25th session of the National Assembly Standing Committee.

Pursuant to the provisions of the Law on Organization of the National Assembly, the Law on Supervision Activities of the National Assembly and People's Councils on questioning and considering the response to questions at the meeting of the National Assembly Standing Committee, based on the proposals of 53 delegations of National Assembly deputies, the Secretary General of the National Assembly has compiled 132 groups of issues proposed for questioning and response to questions.

The National Assembly Standing Committee voted to select the two most important groups of issues for questioning. At this meeting, the National Assembly Standing Committee spent a working day questioning two groups of issues under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

Groups of questions in the judicial field

The content of the questioning will revolve around issues on: Implementation of the law and ordinance making program; solutions to ensure progress, quality and procedural records of projects and drafts submitted by the Government to the National Assembly; solutions to improve the quality of the legal system, solutions to control power, prevent corruption and negativity in law making work under the responsibility of the Government.

Minister of Justice Le Thanh Long is responsible for answering questions in the judicial field.

Along with that are the current situation and solutions to improve the capacity, effectiveness and efficiency of the work of inspecting legal documents. Solutions to overcome the situation of slow promulgation, overlapping and contradictory content and limitations and violations in the promulgation of documents detailing laws, resolutions of the National Assembly, ordinances and resolutions of the National Assembly Standing Committee.

Current situation and solutions to overcome limitations and shortcomings, improve the effectiveness of asset auction and judicial appraisal.

The National Assembly Standing Committee assigned the main responsibility of answering to the Minister of Justice. Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang; Ministers of Finance, Natural Resources and Environment, Health, Public Security; Government Inspector General; Minister, Head of the Government Office; Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court; and Chief Prosecutor of the Supreme People's Procuracy participated in answering questions and explaining related issues.

Group of issues in the field of agriculture and rural development

The responsibility to answer lies with the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development. Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang; Ministers of Finance, Industry and Trade, Natural Resources and Environment, Science and Technology, Information and Communications, and Foreign Affairs also participated in answering questions and explaining related issues.

2 areas the National Assembly Standing Committee organized questioning

Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Le Minh Hoan is responsible for answering the main groups of issues in the sector.

Issues of concern and questions include: solutions to remove difficulties for agricultural exports (narrowing agricultural output markets, many businesses have no orders, prices of some key agricultural products have dropped, income and life of farmers are affected...).

Exploitation, protection and development of aquatic resources; solutions to remove the European Commission's (EC) "yellow card" on aquatic products.

Conversion of land use purposes, recovery of rice-growing land area, ensuring food security and rice export.

National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue will deliver a closing speech at the question-and-answer session, and the National Assembly Standing Committee will issue a resolution as a basis for implementation.
