On the morning of September 22, the Vietnam Aviation Academy issued an urgent warning about fraud schemes targeting students. The subjects used tricks such as faking international study abroad, job and internship programs to defraud and appropriate students' assets.
In just 3 days, from September 17 to 20, two new students of the Vietnam Aviation Academy were lured and discovered in Tay Ninh (a province bordering Cambodia) in a state of losing contact with their families. Fortunately, thanks to the urgent coordination of their families, authorities and the Academy, these students were found and their safety was ensured.

The Academy urgently warns all students, parents and the community to absolutely not trust or participate in unverified “international programs”. Only receive information through the Academy’s official website, fanpage, and academic advisors. The school is currently implementing an early warning system, online support channels, and strengthening close coordination with parents to protect students.
Three months ago, Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine also received a complaint from the family of a 6th year student. According to the complaint, this student called his mother to inform her that he was selected by the school to participate in an international student exchange in the Federal Republic of Germany and asked his family to transfer money into his account to make a statement and submit it to the school for application.
Within a few days, the family transferred 6.8 billion VND into the child's account. Feeling suspicious, the family asked an acquaintance at the bank to check the balance and found out that there was no money left in the child's account.
In February, the Vietnam Aviation Academy also issued a warning when the school received a report from a student's family member about being scammed and having a large sum of money stolen because of participating in an exchange scholarship program granted by Australia in 2025. A third-year student of the academy followed the instructions and lost 500 million VND.
