This is the goal set forth in Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in education and training development (Resolution 71).

High determination to raise the status of Vietnamese education

Ms. Tran Thi Huong - General Director of Phenikaa Inter-level School - said that this is a goal that demonstrates the strategy, aspiration and high determination of the Party, State and Government to raise the position of Vietnamese education in the region and the world .

Resolution 71 creates a legal corridor for policies and State investment resources for education, creating a key driving force for developing a sustainable, comprehensive and globally competitive national education.

This is also a policy that schools and teachers expect, and is expected to create a great motivation to improve current facilities, invest in technology and teaching methods so that schools can meet the requirements of training people for the new era.

“As an educator, I fully support and believe that if there is consensus from the entire system, this goal can be achieved,” said Ms. Tran Thi Huong.

Sharing some difficulties and barriers in the process of implementing the above goals, Ms. Tran Thi Huong shared some personal views as follows:

Firstly, the human resources for education management and teachers are not strong enough in terms of professional capacity to meet the requirements of standardizing management and training activities such as: program knowledge, methods, and capacity to integrate technology in management and teaching.

Second, the difference in quality between regions in terms of educational personnel, student capacity, intellectual characteristics, people's living standards... Educating the young generation is not only the job of teachers and schools, but also requires coordination, companionship and effective support from parents and the community.

Therefore, it takes a lot of effort and time to balance the gap in people's awareness and the level of socio-economic development between regions in the country. In addition, social psychology and educational management thinking are still heavily administrative in some places.

Third, there is a lack of consistency in policies, training programs and quality assessment. Determining the goals of international education rankings should be based on guidelines and criteria set by international assessment organizations.

To date, units have achieved international accreditation/ranking at the university, high school, and field-based training program levels. Therefore, synchronizing these standards across the entire national education system is a very challenging goal.

Finally, rapid technological change poses challenges in updating curricula, methods and digital competencies.

5 keys to realizing your goals

To realize the goals set forth in Resolution 71, Ms. Tran Thi Huong emphasized 5 key factors.

Firstly, innovate educational management thinking towards openness, flexibility and integration.

Second, develop a team of high-quality teachers with a spirit of innovation and the capacity to apply technology.

Third, increase investment and socialization of education, including creating conditions for non-public schools to contribute to the Government's common goals.

Fourth, ensure equity in access to education, especially for students in disadvantaged areas.

Fifth, apply technology and comprehensive digital transformation in education.

“As a school in the national education system, Phenikaa Inter-level School supports the education development policies of the Party and Government and will do its best to contribute to the common goal of the nation.

The school is committed to building a comprehensive educational ecosystem, creating a solid foundation from kindergarten to high school, continuing the university education system; constantly innovating, improving the quality of teaching and educating students to develop comprehensively, integrate internationally - contributing to the goal of bringing Vietnamese education to international standards by 2045", Ms. Tran Thi Huong affirmed.
