90 snake mascots 'coiled' on Nguyen Hue Tet flower street 2025

Nguyen Hue Flower Street 2025 has 90 snake mascots. The welcome gate is impressively designed with a pair of giant coiled snakes.

On December 31, Saigon Tourist Group announced that Nguyen Hue Flower Street for the Year of the Snake 2025, with the theme "Brocade and flower mountains and rivers, happy spring in peace", will open to serve the spring travel and sightseeing needs of city residents and tourists from 7:00 p.m. on January 27, 2025 (the 28th day of the Lunar New Year) to 9:00 p.m. on February 2, 2025 (the 5th day of the Lunar New Year).

This year's flower street is divided into 3 segments: "Unity", "Transformation" and "Development", representing the historical stages of the Vietnamese people.

The miniature scene celebrating the country's major holidays in 2025 on Nguyen Hue Flower Street has the theme "Celebrating the 50th New Year - Celebrating the Spring of Reunification" with the brilliant colors of flowers and the gentle green of the homeland. The image of the metro train marks the first year of operation of the metro, also marking another step forward for the city in the process of entering a new era.

The Kim Ty (male) and Ngan Ty (female) couple at the entrance of Nguyen Hue Flower Street 2025 is an impressive return in appearance, size and craftsmanship compared to the Quy Ty 2013 couple. In which, the female is 25m long, the male is 42m long, the whole body curves 3 times intertwined, forming a base more than 11m wide, with a height from the body adjacent to the flower base to the top of the head of over 6m.

70% of the Kim Ty and Ngan Ty are crafted from environmentally friendly materials. The snake's head and belly are covered with painted pressed bamboo panels, and the entire upper back is covered with reflective mirror mica scales, creating the shimmer of "gold" and "silver". The total number of scales on the body of Ngan Ty is about 2,700 pieces and Kim Ty has nearly 3,600 pieces...

According to the Organizing Committee, this year's flower street has 90 Ty mascots. In the photo, the snake mascot imitates the shape of a king cobra with its head raised and wearing a conical hat. Its entire body is covered in green, reaching a length of more than 50m and a height of more than 10m...

“Spring Drops from the Earth” is a large-scale scene that gives a rather abstract look with a shape that resembles both a honeycomb and a cave. The large-scale scene is inspired by stalactite caves; thousands of thinly woven bamboo and rattan panels are used as the ceiling and columns of the cave, up to 8m high, spread over an area of ​​nearly 1000 m2.

“Spring Dance” is a stylized image of a forest with a canopy diameter shaped by steel, monolithic foam and bamboo blinds painted in alternating dark and light green, dotted with light balls of various sizes to create a magical space, especially at night, when the city lights up.

This year's flower street uses a large amount of flower beds, estimated to total up to 109,000 flower baskets of all kinds. Construction time is from 7am on January 9, 2025 to 12pm on January 27, 2025.
