On July 23 and 24, the North and North Central regions will experience hot weather, with some places experiencing severe heat above 37 degrees Celsius, forecast to last for the next few days.

Yesterday (July 22), the Northwest was hot with the highest temperature of the day commonly 35-36 degrees Celsius, some places over 37 degrees Celsius such as: Muong Te (Lai Chau) 39.1 degrees Celsius, Muong Lay (Dien Bien) 37.5 degrees Celsius, Bac Me ( Ha Giang ) 37.3 degrees Celsius, the lowest relative humidity commonly 55-60%. Other places in the North were locally hot.

The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said that on July 23 and 24, the North and North Central regions will be hot, with some places experiencing severe heat, with the highest temperature commonly ranging from 35-36 degrees Celsius, some places above 37 degrees Celsius, and the lowest relative humidity commonly ranging from 55-60%.

Heat wave in the North and North Central regions is likely to last for the next few days.

In Hanoi , from now until July 27, the highest temperature is forecast to be 35 degrees Celsius, hot weather.

Heat waves will continue to appear interspersed with rains in August in the North and Central regions. In September, heat waves are likely to occur in the North and Central Central regions with a decreasing intensity compared to the previous two months.

The meteorological agency noted that the forecast temperature in the heat bulletin and the actual temperature felt outdoors can differ by 2-4 degrees Celsius, or even higher depending on the conditions of the surface such as concrete and asphalt.

While the hot weather, with some areas experiencing severe heat, returns to the North and North Central regions, the Central Highlands and the South still experience moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, and locally very heavy rain. The average rainfall from July 23 to the night of July 24 ranges from 50-100 mm, with some places experiencing over 150 mm, with heavy rain concentrated in the afternoon and evening.

In addition, on the day and night of July 23, the Central and South Central regions will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally moderate rain, heavy rain with rainfall of 15-30 mm, in some places over 60 mm.

Heavy rain in the Central Highlands and the South, thunderstorms in the Central region are forecast to last for the next 3-4 days.

Risk of flash floods, landslides in mountainous areas and flooding in low-lying areas. Beware of heavy rain in a short period of time causing flooding in urban areas. During thunderstorms, tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind may occur.
