Bac Ninh: Schedule of cultural and sports activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day

VHO - To celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province has issued a plan to organize a series of large-scale propaganda, cultural, sports and tourism activities in the province.

Accordingly, the activities were organized to widely propagate to cadres, party members and people about the historical stature, great significance and eternal value of the August Revolution in 1945 and the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam - the predecessor of the present-day Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

Many artists will perform folk art on boats to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.

Thereby, contributing to educating the tradition of patriotism, the spirit of national solidarity, arousing the will of self-reliance and self-improvement in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland. At the same time, creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere, encouraging the spirit of patriotic emulation in the whole society, contributing to building the homeland of Bac Ninh to become increasingly rich, beautiful and civilized.

From mid-August to mid-September 2025, Bac Ninh province will deploy visual propaganda with banners, billboards, posters on streets, central areas and agency headquarters; at the same time, increase propaganda on mass media, social networks, grassroots information systems and electronic information pages.

The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to direct the system of cultural institutions from the province to the grassroots (Cultural- Sports Center, cultural houses, sports, entertainment and recreation areas, community activity centers) to organize cultural, artistic and sports programs to celebrate the anniversary; cultural exchange activities, art performances, on-site and mobile film screenings, exhibitions, introductions to serve the people, and organize sports competitions.

In addition, direct and guide traditional houses, memorial areas, historical and cultural relic sites of localities to organize exhibitions on special topics to celebrate the anniversary.

Specifically, organize a folk art program on boats, combining Quan Ho folk songs, Cheo performances and revolutionary songs at Nghia Long Lake (August 30) and Nguyen Phi Y Lan Lake (September 1).

Walking Street – Cultural Tourism at Ngo Gia Tu Park (August 30) with craft village booths, OCOP products, local cuisine.

Dong Ngu Water Puppet Show at Square 3.2 (August 30) and Bac Ninh Museum (September 1).

Exhibition of Bac Ninh's socio-economic achievements with the theme "Bac Ninh - a thousand years of civilization - Aspiration to rise in the new era" at the National Exhibition Center (Hanoi) from August 28 to September 5, 2025.

Exhibition to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the People's Public Security and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection at Bac Ninh Museum No. 1, from August 11 to September 20.

Cultural exhibition at Bac Ninh Museum No. 2, including: "Achievements of Bac Ninh Cultural Sector 1997-2025" and "Bac Ninh in the August Revolution 1945", from August 10 to the end of September 2025.

Exhibition of books and newspapers to celebrate 80 years at Bac Ninh Library No. 1 and No. 2 from August 18 to September 5.

Experience activity of making Dong Ho folk paintings at Dong Ho Folk Painting Conservation Center, Thuan Thanh ward, from August 30 to September 3.

Film week celebrating the 80th anniversary of August Revolution and National Day September 2, mobile film screenings from August 23 to September 5.

Performance of intangible cultural heritage recognized by UNESCO (Quan Ho folk songs, Ca Tru...) at the Provincial Cultural - Exhibition Center on August 28-29.

Organizing grassroots and professional sports tournaments, including: Bac Ninh Province Age Group Badminton Tournament (August 23-30), Provincial Pickleball Championship (September 6-13), National Excellent Club Badminton Tournament and National Senior Volleyball Tournament (expected October 9-10, 2025). Bac Ninh FC football team also participates in the First Division and National Cup 2025-2026 season at Viet Yen Stadium.

This is a cultural and political event of special significance, organized effectively, contributing to spreading the spirit of patriotism, encouraging the country's innovation, integration and development. At the same time, it is an opportunity for Bac Ninh people and domestic and foreign tourists to immerse themselves in the sacred and heroic atmosphere of national history.
