Meanwhile, the price of SJC gold bars traded at DOJI in Hanoi at the end of the session on January 19 was listed at 74.25 million VND per tael for buying and 76.75 million VND per tael for selling.
The international spot gold price on Kitco floor at 9:41 p.m. on January 19, Vietnam time was at 2,028.1 USD per ounce. The gold price for February 2024 delivery on Comex floor, New York was at 2,033.7 USD per ounce.
Gold prices today, January 20, on the world market increased amid escalating tensions in the Middle East and a weakening USD.
On the stock market , at the end of the trading session on January 19, the VN-Index increased by 12.44 points to 1,181.5 points. The HNX-Index decreased by 0.45 points to 229.48 points. The UPCoM-Index increased by 0.31 points to 87.46 points.
The central exchange rate between the Vietnamese Dong and the US dollar announced by the State Bank on January 19 was 24,037 VND/USD, down 4 VND compared to the previous session. The USD price at commercial banks on January 19 decreased slightly, at the end of the session it was listed around 24,345-24,715 VND/USD (buy - sell).

In the domestic market, the selling prices of gasoline and oil today, January 20, are applied according to the prices at the management session on the afternoon of January 18 of the Ministry of Finance and Industry and Trade.
