This morning, February 13, Chairwoman of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission, Head of the Culture - Social Committee of the Quang Tri Provincial People's Council Ho Thi Thu Hang chaired a working session with the Department of Construction to listen to a report on the content of the Provincial People's Committee's Proposal requesting the drafting of a resolution of the Provincial People's Council regulating the level of support for housing construction for people with revolutionary contributions and relatives of martyrs in the province.

In the period 2013 - 2021, Quang Tri province has supported 8,095 houses for families with meritorious services to the revolution from the central budget. However, there are still 2,374 policy households with meritorious services whose housing is not guaranteed; of which the number of households needing new construction is 342 households; the number of households needing housing repair is 2,032 households.
Currently, the Provincial People's Committee has approved the Project to support the construction and repair of houses for people with revolutionary contributions and relatives of martyrs in Decision No. 311/QD-UBND dated February 11, 2024. Pursuant to Decision No. 21/2024/QD-TTg dated November 22, 2024 of the Prime Minister , Quang Tri province is supported from the central budget with 60 million VND/household for the case of building new houses; 30 million VND/household for the case of renovating and repairing houses.
At the same time, according to Notice No. 01-TB/BCĐ dated January 9, 2025 of the Provincial Steering Committee for Eliminating Temporary and Dilapidated Houses, which agreed on the level of support for building new houses and repairing houses as proposed by the Provincial People's Committee and the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, specifically, households with meritorious services to the revolution and relatives of martyrs receive a support level of 100 million VND/household to ensure the same level as the support for policy families that have been supported in the past in the province; the support level is 30 million VND/household for households repairing houses".
Thus, to ensure the content of Notice 01-TB/BCĐ of the Provincial Steering Committee for Eliminating Temporary and Dilapidated Houses, it is necessary to add an additional budget of 40 million VND/household for new construction.
Therefore, the resolution on housing construction support for people with revolutionary contributions and martyrs' relatives in the province aims to concretize central regulations, in accordance with the characteristics of the province's situation, in conjunction with central resources to implement the project with high results.

Speaking at the meeting, Head of the Provincial People's Council's Culture and Social Affairs Committee Ho Thi Thu Hang said that the Committee agreed on the level of support for building new houses for people with revolutionary contributions from the local budget of 40 million VND/house, regardless of region.
At the same time, it is recommended that the draft resolution clearly and specifically state the support funding level, total implementation cost, and implementation time to ensure strictness and convenience in the implementation process.
Agree to shorten the procedures and documents to ensure the timely issuance of resolutions for implementation. The Provincial People's Council's Culture and Social Affairs Committee will continue to closely coordinate and review some contents of the draft resolution to complete and submit to the upcoming session.
