New Zealand newspaper praises Hoi An as 'the most beautiful town in Vietnam'

In a recently published article, writer Katie Lockhart of the NzHerald newspaper gave many compliments to the ancient town of Hoi An. At the same time, she suggested very sophisticated experiences for a tourist in the ancient town.

Katie Lockhart writes: "This yellow town is steeped in history, colour and charm. When the sun first hits Hoi An, the ancient town glows like a rice field before harvest.

This historic town in central Vietnam has many features that attract tourists, but the distinctive yellow color of its shophouses is the most obvious.

Located along the Thu Bon River, LED-lit boats cruise up and down the river while candle-lit lanterns float along.

Around the maze-like streets, colorful lanterns hang at almost every corner, tailor shops, souvenir sellers, cafes and restaurants beckon visitors.

And while the old town is well worth exploring , Hoi An also has plenty of other attractions nearby, from rolling rice fields to stunning beaches."
