Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper awarded the national flag and 400 scholarships in Can Tho City

(CLO) On March 20, Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper organized an awarding ceremony for 20,300 national flags and 400 scholarships in Can Tho City.

At the program, Mr. To Dinh Tuan, Editor-in-Chief of the Newspaper Nguoi Lao Dong, said that recently, the Newspaper Nguoi Lao Dong has coordinated with the Can Tho City Labor Federation to carry out "National Flag Road" routes in many localities of the city. At the same time, it also awarded scholarships to students.

Up to now, the "Pride of the National Flag" Program has awarded a total of 20,300 flags (worth more than 1 billion VND) and the "Scholarship Program to support ethnic minority and poor students" has awarded 400 scholarships (worth 400 million VND).

During 5 years of organizing and coordinating the "Pride of the National Flag" Program with over 400 events, the Newspaper Nguoi Lao Dong has awarded and signed contracts to award over 2 million flags; implemented 800 "National Flag Routes" across 55 provinces and cities; presented flags to fishermen in 28 coastal provinces and cities...

Mr. To Dinh Tuan emphasized: "In the face of many difficulties, the Newspaper Nguoi Lao Dong always shares and accompanies the Party Committee, government and people of Can Tho City. The city also creates favorable conditions for the Representative Office of the Mekong Delta of the Newspaper Nguoi Lao Dong to operate. In the near future, we hope that the city will continue to create favorable conditions for the newspaper to carry out information, propaganda and social security programs."

On this occasion, Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper also presented Can Tho City with 2,000 national flags to build "National Flag Streets" and replace old flags on existing flag streets.
