In the series of events of HCMC Business Summit 2025, on September 26, Ho Chi Minh City Young Entrepreneurs Association (YBA HCM) - Gia Dinh Branch organized NextGen ISCO Forum 2025, focusing on the topic "Exploring opportunities to participate in the new generation supply chain".
Ms. Vo Hiep Van An - Deputy General Director of Deloitte Vietnam - emphasized that the current time is an opportunity for Vietnamese enterprises to participate in the global supply chain, when the world's geopolitical instability exposes the fragility of the traditional supply chain model and promotes the need for reconstruction.
According to Ms. An, the global supply chain is undergoing structural and irreversible changes, with the participation of digital technology , artificial intelligence and automation.
"This requires sustainable and flexible adaptation," said Deloitte Vietnam Deputy General Director.
Statistics ( Ministry of Finance ) show that in the first 8 months of 2025, total registered foreign investment capital in Vietnam reached 26.14 billion USD, an increase of 27.3% over the same period last year.
However, Ms. An said that Vietnam is also in a competitive FDI situation with many other Southeast Asian countries and will only surpass it when it has a smart industrial ecosystem, including industrial parks with modern infrastructure, strong domestic supply chains, human resources to meet new needs, flexible policies, the ability to integrate technology and a commitment to sustainable development.
According to many domestic and foreign figures, while the global economy is changing strongly, Vietnam is emerging as an attractive destination for high-quality foreign direct investment (FDI).
In that context, developing a seamless, efficient, modern and sustainable industrial supply chain ecosystem is believed to maximize Vietnam's economic opportunities and enhance national competitiveness.
Based on the above reality, NextGen ISCO Forum 2025 aims to become a pioneering forum, focusing on developing the industrial park supply chain ecosystem in Vietnam, connecting the most important subjects: industrial real estate development enterprises, manufacturing enterprises, and service providers.
"After the merger, Ho Chi Minh City will have the additional production strength of Binh Duong, along with the seaport and tourism of Ba Ria - Vung Tau. The forum will open up conditions for businesses to exploit many upcoming opportunities," said Mr. Nguyen Cong Tan, Vice President of YBA HCM - Head of the Steering Committee of NextGen ISCO Forum 2025.
According to Mr. Tan, the forum is also a place to share visions on new generation industrial park standards, emphasizing that industrial parks are not only production sites but also integrated, smart, sustainable ecosystems and a launching pad for the outstanding development of businesses and the economy.
