The Politburo works with the Standing Committee of the National Assembly Party Committee

The Politburo highly appreciated the draft documents and personnel plans that were carefully, seriously, elaborately, and scientifically prepared by the National Assembly Party Committee in accordance with the regulations and instructions of the Central Committee.

On the morning of September 11, at the Party Central Committee Headquarters, under the chairmanship of General Secretary To Lam, the Politburo worked with the Standing Committee of the National Assembly Party Committee to give opinions on draft documents, personnel plans and preparations for the 1st National Assembly Party Congress, term 2025-2030.

At the working session, the Politburo listened to a representative of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly Party Committee report on the drafting of documents and personnel plans for the 2025-2030 term, and a report on receiving and explaining comments from central committees, ministries and branches.

The Politburo highly appreciated the draft documents and personnel plans that were carefully, seriously, elaborately, and scientifically prepared by the National Assembly Party Committee in accordance with the regulations and instructions of the Central Committee.

The content of the draft document has thoroughly grasped the major viewpoints and orientations in the draft documents of the 14th National Party Congress, the resolutions, conclusions and directives of the Party Central Committee and the Politburo and is close to the practical situation of the Party Committee; the basic personnel plan ensures the structure, quantity, standards and conditions according to regulations.

The Politburo members basically agreed with the draft documents submitted to the Congress by the National Assembly Party Committee, and gave their enthusiastic, responsible, and profound comments to supplement and perfect the Congress documents.

Concluding the working session, the General Secretary requested the Standing Committee of the National Assembly Party Committee to absorb the opinions of Politburo members and reasonable comments from central committees, ministries and branches to complete documents and personnel plans, and continue to carefully prepare for the successful organization of the Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term.

The General Secretary emphasized that in the coming term, the National Assembly Party Committee needs to focus on leading the promotion of Party building work, building a clean and strong National Assembly Party Committee in all aspects, focusing on Party building in terms of politics, ideology, ethics, personnel work, inspection, supervision, Party discipline, and mass mobilization work; continue to enhance Party spirit in the activities of the National Assembly; and innovate the leadership method of the National Assembly Party Committee according to the new model.

The Party Committee of the National Assembly actively and promptly concretizes the Party's guidelines, policies, strategies, especially the timely development and institutionalization of the Politburo's resolutions in a number of fields recently issued into mechanisms, policies and laws for implementation in practice; promptly reflects and reports to the Party Central Committee, the Politburo, and the Secretariat the opinions and recommendations of the people on national development in order to contribute to orienting the Party's guidelines, policies and strategies to be closer to reality, meeting the requirements of national development in the new era.

The General Secretary requested that the Party Committee of the National Assembly focus on leading and directing the successful election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term; preside over and coordinate with the Vietnam Fatherland Front to effectively implement the Politburo's Directive and Conclusion on election leadership and the Project on orientations for the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term..., ensuring democracy, equality, compliance with the law, safety, economy, no ostentation, no formality, truly a festival for all people.

The Party Committee of the National Assembly leads the implementation of the constitutional and legislative functions well; implements the policy of innovation in thinking in law-making, making institutions and laws a competitive advantage, law-making is the "breakthrough of breakthroughs", removing bottlenecks and barriers, taking people and businesses as the center, mobilizing and clearing resources for development but must ensure the comprehensive leadership of the Party over the activities of the National Assembly; leads the National Assembly to perform well the function of deciding on important issues of the country; identifies the decision on socio-economic development issues and the state budget as a central and regular task of the National Assembly; innovates the method of operation and improves the quality in deciding on goals, targets, policies and basic tasks of socio-economic development; studies and perfects regulations on processes, procedures and bases for deciding on important issues of the country and the National Assembly.

The General Secretary requested that leaders perform well the functions of supervision and people's petition; build and perfect the National Assembly's supervision mechanism, clearly define the role, scope, objects, methods and forms of supervision, ensuring the supremacy in the National Assembly's supervision activities; enhance the proactiveness and creativity in supervision of National Assembly agencies; promote the role of the State Audit in auditing the management and use of public finance and assets; effectively lead the coordination of agencies and organizations in the political system to successfully complete assigned tasks; improve the quality of databases and information, effectively apply information technology and artificial intelligence to serve the activities of the National Assembly Party Committee and the National Assembly.
