However, the Department of Higher Education will be the focal point for gathering information, as the incident stems from the doctoral degree granted to Mr. Vuong Tan Viet by Hanoi Law University. "The Department is listening to relevant parties and is still in the process of receiving information. There will be a report to the leaders of the Ministry of Education and Training. This is being carried out very urgently," the leader said.

A representative of Hanoi Law University said that the school has not yet issued any document reporting on the content related to Mr. Vuong Tan Viet's high school diploma. Regarding the suspicion that Mr. Vuong Tan Viet's high school diploma is fake, the school has only heard information from public opinion and has not received any official information from the authorities.

"In principle, when there is an official document from the management agency, the school will carry out the procedures according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training. If Mr. Vuong Tan Viet uses a fake high school diploma, the units that have granted high degrees to Mr. Vuong Tan Viet will carry out the procedures according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training on the management of diplomas and certificates," said this representative.

As reported by Thanh Nien Newspaper, the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City has sent an official dispatch to the Government Committee for Religious Affairs regarding the verification of Mr. Vuong Tan Viet's high school diploma.

Accordingly, Mr. Vuong Tan Viet's name was not on the list of candidates and the score sheet of the 1989 high school graduation exam of the Department of Education and Training; his name was not on the list of high school graduation certificates awarded on June 6, 1989 of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City.
