The Ministry of Construction assessed that real estate prices are increasing year by year, but they basically do not reflect the true value, because there is speculation and price increases.
In the report on housing policy and real estate market in the first 9 months of the year, the Ministry of Construction assessed that the current supply of housing products is mainly in the mid-range and high-end segments, lacking affordable housing for the majority of people, especially the segment for industrial park workers and social housing.
In fact, housing supply in the past 9 months has increased sharply but transaction volume has fluctuated little compared to the same period last year.
The Ministry of Construction’s report shows that the number of projects started and completed has increased sharply. Meanwhile, the total transactions have only increased by about 1% and have recovered locally in areas with synchronous infrastructure and transparent legal status. Most investors are currently observing and adjusting their expectations.
From now until the end of the year, the Ministry of Construction said it will continue to research and propose a pilot model of a State-managed real estate transaction center in large cities to increase transparency in transactions.
