In the past 9 months, the National Competition Commission ( Ministry of Industry and Trade ) has actively implemented activities to protect consumer rights, receiving and handling 11,542 calls via Hotline 1800.6838 and 642 complaints from consumers.

The statistics show a significant increase in consumers proactively protecting their rights, and reflect areas and violations that need attention.

Analysis of data from 642 consumer complaints shows a shift in consumer behavior, with 82% of complaints sent via email and website, while postal channels account for only 17.3%.

This reflects the shift to the online environment, and requires the National Competition Commission to continue investing in digital infrastructure. The sectors with the highest rates of reflection include: e-commerce, tourism , resorts and home electronics.

Violations of consumer rights were also diverse, with 60% of complaints relating to failure to compensate or return goods, poor quality goods and failure to negotiate with consumers.
