Performance, efficiency and stability

It's no surprise that iOS 17 is largely about improving things, but the interesting detail from analyst941 is that the operating system will work with all the same devices as iOS 16. That means the iPhone 8, 8 Plus, and X will still be supported instead of being removed as some recent rumors have suggested.

The reason, as explained, is because Apple wants to focus on long-term support for older devices. analyst941 notes that some of these may have difficulty running the iOS 17 beta due to limited RAM, but that will be resolved with the final release.
