'Feeling useless, irritable'

Lan Phuong is a "familiar" actress in the Vietnamese entertainment industry. After her success with a series of famous roles in the films: Love the sunny days, Gia dinh minh vui bat thuoc luat... she received more good news.

After 6 years, Lan Phuong and her Western husband are preparing to welcome the second child to their family. Currently, the actress is 5 months pregnant, she limits her participation in entertainment activities and only appears at appropriate events.

Most recently, Lan Phuong attended the launch of Combyy in Hanoi. Appearing in a light pink dress, Lan Phuong clearly showed off her "pregnant" figure.

Lan Phuong said that although this was her second pregnancy, she could not avoid feeling confused and worried. The actress was most concerned about the possibility of postpartum depression:

"We all have some degree of postpartum depression, it's just a matter of whether we're aware of it or not. I became aware of my postpartum depression when I was alone taking care of my baby in the first month after giving birth.

Going around and around just breastfeeding, changing diapers, rocking the baby to sleep, playing with the baby... Repeating every day, I started to feel frustrated, felt that this life was boring, that I could not contribute anything to this life other than taking care of the baby.

That leads to the fact that when I hear childcare views from my husband or parents that are different from my thinking, I easily get agitated. That is postpartum depression."

The actress said she has found ways to balance herself and escape postpartum depression:

"When I realized I had postpartum depression, things became easier. I admitted my condition and shared it with everyone around me. My husband and family helped me get through that period better."

Lan Phuong also prepared herself mentally to avoid postpartum depression when giving birth to her second child:

"I accepted in my mind that I would have some degree of postpartum depression and that it was normal. Once I became aware of the nature of the problem and accepted it, I think I got through it better.

I need to share with my family, especially my husband. Sharing will help reduce negative thoughts in my head."

After her success with the role of Ngoc Ha in Gia dinh vui bat thuc , Lan Phuong continued to participate in the Tet movie project in the hell village . Currently, the actress has temporarily stopped filming to focus on her pregnancy, welcoming the second little member of the family.
