Staff dedicated to military recruitment

Over the years, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Thang, Assistant Chief of Staff, Cam Pha City Military Command, has always made great contributions to the outstanding results in local military recruitment work.

In order for the 2025 military recruitment work to be carried out well, correctly and sufficiently, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Thang has proactively advised and proposed to the Party Committee and the unit Commander to develop a plan to select and call citizens to join the army; deploy and guide grassroots units to carry out the steps and stages in the work of selecting and calling citizens to join the army in 2025.

In this military recruitment campaign, Cam Pha City was assigned to recruit 272 citizens for military and public security units.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Thang shared: As a soldier, I always have a clear mindset, make efforts, and am ready to overcome all difficulties to successfully complete the assigned tasks. Therefore, when doing military recruitment work, I always grasp and receive the instructions of the unit commander, as well as learn from the experiences of my comrades and teammates, make the most of my time to study legal documents, directive documents, improve my knowledge, advise commanders and leaders at all levels to issue a complete system of documents that are accurate and correct, and perform well the annual military recruitment and enrollment tasks. At the same time, I listen to the thoughts and aspirations of citizens during the military recruitment process to promptly explain and encourage them.

With the assigned duties and tasks, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Thang advised the unit to report to the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and the City People's Committee to perfect the Military Service Council at all levels, thereby directing the grassroots units to do well the stages and steps of selecting and calling citizens to join the army. At the same time, he built documents and plans to coordinate with local departments, branches, and organizations, to organize propaganda and dissemination of the Law on Military Service and documents and instructions from superiors.

To make the military recruitment work more effective, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Thang also regularly consults with the Party Committee and the Military Command of Cam Pha City on developing plans and conducting re-examinations of the number of male citizens of military age in each locality to ensure the source of military recruitment work. At the same time, he visits and encourages families whose children are enlisted, thereby creating a close relationship between the military and the people, thereby contributing to helping the grassroots units complete the work of checking and reviewing the list, military recruitment records, and military recruitment every year correctly and accurately.

2025 is the first year of implementing military service examinations according to Circular No. 105/2023/TT-BQP dated December 6, 2023 of the Ministry of National Defense on regulations on health standards and health examinations for subjects with many new points; including additional regulations on paraclinical examinations, including: X-ray, abdominal ultrasound, electrocardiogram, hepatitis B virus testing... Therefore, military recruitment standards and quotas have higher requirements in both quantity and quality.

"In the process of performing our duties, we regularly propagate and explain to citizens and their families about the Law on Military Service, so that citizens can understand and confidently perform their military service, contributing their youth to the cause of defending the Fatherland. Thanks to that, up to now, we have basically completed the target of selecting citizens to join the army in 2025" - Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Thang added.

In order to achieve good results in the selection and calling of citizens to join the army, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Thang also advised the unit commander to develop a plan and assign specific tasks to each member to participate in the military service examination, while always closely following and ensuring that the examination is organized according to the correct procedure. The dedication and efforts of Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Thang have contributed to the completion of the common tasks of the Cam Pha City Military Command and the locality.
