Amidst the hustle and bustle of everyday life, one can still find somewhere those hearts quietly sowing seeds of charity, unobtrusive but enough to move and spread.

Hero of the People's Armed Forces Nguyen Vu Minh Nguyet - a woman who went through the fierce years of war - still lives quietly and contributes today with a simple thought: to repay the homeland that took her in during the days of bombs falling and bullets exploding.

Ms. Nguyen Vu Minh Nguyet is currently the Head of Bao Nguyet Notary Office (Hai Chau Ward, Da Nang City). Although she is over 70 years old, the heroine always devotes her remaining years to volunteer trips to the highlands, journeys to the source to give meaningful gifts to families with meritorious services... That is the journey of giving filled with love of the female veteran who has crossed the line of life and death of war to continue to contribute to life today.

The Heroine of Compassion

Not only stopping at the noble title recognizing her contributions in combat, Nguyen Vu Minh Nguyet also makes many people admire her for her tireless volunteer journey that she has been carrying out for many years. With a warm heart and deep gratitude, she always pays special attention to the work of "repaying gratitude" - a precious tradition of the nation.

She spent nearly 200 million VND to place flower vases and change flowers 3 times at 800 graves of martyrs at the Nong Son martyr cemetery (former Que Loc commune). Each flower is a thank you, a deep gratitude to her comrades of the past and many generations of fathers and brothers who sacrificed for today's peace .

For her, it is not only a duty, but also a responsibility of a person who was sheltered by her homeland during difficult years. In that countryside, she grew up amidst the flames of war, facing danger every day but still being protected and sheltered by the people. That is why, when life has stabilized, when titles and achievements are no longer something to pursue, what she chose was to return, to show gratitude and share.

On every major holiday, Mrs. Nguyet personally visits and gives gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and wounded soldiers, bringing simple but heartwarming gifts and words of encouragement filled with affection. The trips are unannounced, without the need for formalities, just the light-up of the recipients' eyes makes her feel light-hearted.

As an active member of the Da Nang City Women Entrepreneurs Association, the heroine often organizes charity programs with her colleagues to the highlands, bringing warm clothes to poor children and necessities to remote villages in need. Each trip is a return to her troubled youth, and also an opportunity to sow love on the land that once sheltered her life.

Not stopping there, she and the association also maintain a program of giving regular meals to cancer patients at the Da Nang Oncology Hospital - where many lives are struggling with illness. Hot meals are not only nutrition, but also comfort in the midst of desperate days, a whisper "you are not alone" from someone who deeply understands the value of life.

Along with that, she also takes on the role of godmother to an orphan every month, helping him to have a firmer footing on the path of studying and growing up. She does not do it as a philanthropist, but as a mother silently caring for the future of the less fortunate children.

Not stopping there, the heroine also carried out many charitable activities such as sponsoring the lighting of rural roads with solar lamps, and community care activities such as installing convex mirrors on traffic routes. Each journey and each activity shows her wholehearted devotion to the community.

Live to give, to thank life

For hero Nguyen Vu Minh Nguyet, volunteering is not about repaying anyone, but about repaying the land that sheltered her during the most fierce years of her life. It was her homeland that raised her with love, tears and faith during the war. And today, she returns with all she can - with her heart, actions, and gratitude woven from memories.

She once said simply: "My homeland has kept me alive. Now, I just hope I can live a worthy life . " That saying has been the guiding principle for every action, every trip, every gift she has given over the years.

At an age when many people choose to retire, hero Nguyen Vu Minh Nguyet is still tirelessly traveling on the journey of sharing and dedication. Without needing praise, she chooses to quietly do good deeds, thereby spreading humanistic values in the community.

In an age where kindness is sometimes questioned, the quiet but persistent presence of Nguyen Vu Minh Nguyet is a warm flame - illuminating, inspiring, and reminding everyone of responsibility, morality, and gratitude. That heroine - after fierce battles - continues to silently contribute to love, sharing with many unfortunate, less fortunate lives and acting for the community.
