On March 7, Tien Phong's source said that Mr. Huynh Uy Vien - Vice Chairman of Cam Lam District People's Committee, had directed to stop collecting each parent's "willing" contribution of a minimum of 100,000 VND to repair the campus of Suoi Tan Primary School, Suoi Tan Commune, Cam Lam District.

Previously, on February 22, many social networking sites in Khanh Hoa spread information about a local primary school calling on parents to contribute to repairing the school campus with a total estimated cost of 258 million VND.

According to the posted content, Suoi Tan Primary School has a total of 957 students, and it is estimated that each student must contribute 270,000 VND/student out of the total estimated budget of 258 million VND. The contribution level when implemented is "depending on the generosity" but each parent must contribute a minimum of 100,000 VND and the implementation will last until the end of May 2025.

As Tien Phong reported, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoang Oanh - Principal of Suoi Tan Primary School, said: The school has received the information that has been spread and confirmed that the "finalization" of the above amount is incorrect.

“Through discussions, most of the members of the Parents' Representative Board wanted to repair the area in front of the school gate because the gate is easily flooded during the rainy season, causing inconvenience for students when going to school. When proposing to implement the content, all members agreed to support and voluntarily proposed a contribution of 100,000 VND. The school did not impose or give a specific amount, but only informed that the amount depends on the generosity,” Ms. Oanh explained.

The leader of Cam Lam District People's Committee said that Suoi Tan Commune People's Committee has received the district's direction on the budget allocated to the commune to mobilize from socialized sources to pour concrete and will contact Road Management Area III to ask for permission from this unit to agree on the policy of pouring concrete in the area outside the school gate.
