Humain has just stunned the world by announcing the Horizon Pro PC laptop at the Snapdragon Technology Summit in Maui, Hawaii with the ambitious claim that the device can operate 100 times faster than human thinking. This is not just a regular laptop but a breakthrough in integrating artificial intelligence into the personal computing experience.

Powered by Qualcomm's first-generation Snapdragon X Elite chip, the Horizon Pro runs on a unique AI operating system called Human One OS. Interestingly, however, this operating system actually functions as an application running on Windows 11, creating a completely new interface compared to what users have known.

Instead of a traditional window or app interface, Humain One OS offers a simple experience with task-focused options like “chat,” “image creation,” “knowledge retrieval,” and “document summarization.” The interface is designed as task tiles, making it easy for users to access AI features without having to learn complex operating systems.

Humain CEO Tareq Amin insists that they didn't create this product to become a regular PC maker, but to "redefine the future user experience." He said that the development of Humain One OS took just seven months, a relatively short time for such an ambitious project.

Besides the groundbreaking operating system, the Horizon Pro is also impressive in terms of hardware with 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD, 14-inch OLED screen with 2880×1800 resolution from Samsung, 1080p webcam with privacy cover and Wi-Fi 7 connection. Notably, the device promises up to 18 hours of battery life and zero wake-up time thanks to the Snapdragon X Elite chip.

Another interesting detail is that Horizon Pro has a dedicated key that replaces the Copilot key commonly found on Windows laptops, creating a unique mark for Humain's products. In addition, the laptop also has a built-in AI application suite including Humain Search (AI search engine), Humain Create (art and video creation), and Humain Chat powered by the Allam model with 34 billion parameters developed from scratch.

During the hands-on experience, journalists tested the laptop’s story-making feature by asking it to write a story about a CNET reporter attending a technology conference in Hawaii. The results showed that the AI was quite accurate in predicting the reporter’s schedule and interests, even creating illustrations for the story.

Humain plans to sell Horizon Pro to both businesses and consumers through a subscription model that includes a suite of AI solutions. For individual customers, the AI applications will be pre-installed but will need to be activated to use. The company also plans to donate 500 laptops to students.

While Humain hasn't announced a specific price, CEO Amin hinted that they're more interested in long-term value than initial cost, promising a "massive" price that's 40 percent lower than similar products on the market. The product will officially launch on October 27 at the Future Investment Initiative in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Qualcomm CEO Cristiano Amon commented that Horizon Pro represents the future of intelligent PCs, delivering breakthrough performance and advanced AI experiences for both businesses and consumers. This collaboration demonstrates the vision of a groundbreaking hybrid AI PC.

With three planned versions: Horizon S for students, Horizon Pro and the more advanced Horizon Ultra, Humain is aiming to redefine the way people interact with computers through the power of artificial intelligence.
