The Prime Minister has just signed Decision 629/QD-TTg disciplining Mr. Cao Tien Dung, Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee, with a warning due to violations and shortcomings in his work, and the Central Inspection Commission has taken disciplinary action against him.

In addition, the Government disciplined Mr. Vo Van Chanh and Mr. Tran Van Vinh, former Vice Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee, with a warning, due to violations and shortcomings in their work, and the Central Inspection Commission disciplined them by Party discipline.
Previously, at the 23rd session (November 29-30, 2022), the Central Inspection Committee announced its conclusions. Accordingly, implementing the direction of the Central Steering Committee on preventing and combating corruption and negativity, after reviewing the inspection results when there were signs of violations against the Party Committee of the Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee, the Central Inspection Committee found that:
The Party Executive Committee of the Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee violated the principle of democratic centralism and working regulations; lacked responsibility and loosened leadership and direction, allowing the Provincial People's Committee and many organizations and individuals to violate Party regulations and State laws in implementing a number of projects and equitization work; a number of cadres and Party members degraded in political ideology, ethics and lifestyle, violated regulations on what Party members are not allowed to do and responsibilities to set an example, and were criminally prosecuted.
The above violations have caused serious consequences, causing huge damage and risk of loss to the state budget, causing bad public opinion, affecting the reputation of the Party organization and local government, to the point of having to consider and handle disciplinary actions.
Responsibility for the above violations and shortcomings belongs to the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the Party Committee of the Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee and a number of individuals, including Mr. Cao Tien Dung, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Vo Van Chanh and Tran Van Vinh, former Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee.
