Along with that, speed up the construction progress of key projects and works in the province, especially important transport and energy infrastructure works.

In addition, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province requested strict control and thorough savings in expenditures, especially regular expenditures, to reserve resources for development investment, for key and important national projects and resources for implementing salary reform and social security.

Focus on handling and resolving problems regarding mechanisms, preferential policies, legal procedures, land... to speed up the implementation of investment projects in the province.

Need support of about 1 million m3 of sand for foundation

According to the report of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province, regarding the site clearance work, as of May 8, 6/7 projects have handed over over 90% of the area. Of which, the project to upgrade and expand the U Minh - Khanh Hoi route has reached nearly 70%.

Some other ongoing projects include: Project to upgrade and expand Ca Mau Airport; Component project of Hau Giang - Ca Mau section passing through the province (part of the North - South expressway construction project in the East phase 2021-2025); Investment project to upgrade and expand Cai Nuoc - Vam Dinh - Cai Doi Vam route; Ganh Hao bridge; upgrading and expanding Ca Mau - Dam Doi route (section from Hai Thuong Lan Ong street to Xom Ruong bridge)...

However, according to the People's Committee of Ca Mau province, the supply of sand and stone has been greatly affecting the investment costs and construction progress of investment and construction projects in Ca Mau province.

Through review, the demand for construction materials, to complete key projects in the medium-term public investment plan for the period 2021-2025, Ca Mau continues to need about one million cubic meters of sand for embankment; 250,000 cubic meters of yellow sand; 330,000 cubic meters of 1x2 stone; 100,000 cubic meters of 4x6 stone and over 410,000 cubic meters of crushed stone.

Therefore, in order to create conditions for the implementation and completion of key projects in the province according to plan, the People's Committee of Ca Mau province has a document requesting the People's Committee of An Giang province to pay attention to prioritizing and creating favorable conditions to support the supply of materials, mainly sand and stone for this province.

According to the People's Committee of Ca Mau province, as of May 8, agencies, units and investors have disbursed public investment capital reaching 1,052/5,228 billion VND (reaching more than 20% of the plan). Of which, the capital plan for 2024 disbursed 21.5%, the capital plan for 2023 transferred to 2024 disbursed 6%.
