Chairman of Ha Tinh Provincial People's Committee directed to clarify the case of principal disciplining accountant, teachers' delayed salary

Ms. Nguyen Thi Nguyet - Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ha Tinh said that the Department has learned about the incident at Son Ham Kindergarten reported by Dai Doan Ket Newspaper.

"We have discussed with the district leaders, requesting an inspection, clarification of the incident and solutions to handle and rectify if any, so as not to affect professional issues and teaching at the school," said Ms. Nguyen Thi Nguyet.

Regarding this issue, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province Vo Trong Hai said that he learned about the incident after the newspaper reported it: "I have directed the Chairman of the People's Committee of Huong Son district to inspect, clarify and report to the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee", Mr. Vo Trong Hai informed.

Previously, as Dai Doan Ket Newspaper reported, Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Thuy - Principal of Son Ham Kindergarten issued two disciplinary decisions against accounting officer Nguyen Thi Thanh Nhan contrary to the Law on Civil Servants and Decree 112/2020/ND-CP of the Government .

Specifically, Decision 74/QD-MNSH dated August 23, 2024 and Decision 75/QD-MNSH dated August 26, 2024 (replacing Decision 74/QD-MNSH) of Principal of Son Ham Kindergarten Tran Thi Thanh Thuy with the disciplinary form of "demotion" is not in accordance with Article 15, Decree 112/2020/ND-CP and Article 56, Law on Civil Servants.

The decision of the Principal of Son Ham Kindergarten caused civil servant Nguyen Thi Thanh Nhan to have her salary reduced by 1 grade in August 2024.

According to information from the leader of the People's Committee of Huong Son district, Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Thuy has revoked the two illegal decisions mentioned above. However, when asked about any other form of disciplinary action against this "abusing power" principal, the leader of Huong Son district said that they are continuing to consider it.
